I think that was a folding stock Reising (Model 55), not a Thompson.
Actually, I believe they were using Thompsons with the side-folding stock in that movie.
And that's what I've been trying to figure out, as well. I always thought it applied to anyone but I've also read it was just residents and not visitors. I honestly have no idea and get different answers on it. Would be great to know.
I was planning on traveling to Missouri from Arizona for the holidays and was tinkering with the notion of bringing my Thompson SBR. I was wondering if those with a lot more experience could give me an idea of what the average approval/return time is after submitting the ATF Form 5320.20.
Appreciate any help or information.
A friend and noted gunsmith up in Tucson sent this to me and was wondering if someone knew what it could actually and how it could've possibly ended up where he found it - in a West Hurley when he removed the barrel. He said it appeared to be and had the smell of old, smokeless tobacco.
Weird:

Jim, that's actually not true. There was a documented crime involving a registered machinegun - and interestingly it was committed by a police officer:
I used an older 1927-A5 Pistol to have mine done and it works well enough for me:

As an aside, many have also succumbed to believing those photos were of "Charlton Heston's gun room." They're not.
