  1. They look almost just like the firing pin fot the original 1927a1 I bought in 1976 from Ira Trast. The firing pin broke and he sent me a new one and it looked a lot like this.
  2. My WH was bought new from Ira trust in 1979 by me and it has run since day one with no problems. Guess I got a good one. I have put thousands of rounds through it over the years and no problems or wear. Still would like a 28 navy but for a shooter my gun is great. I enjoy letting newbies shoot it and seeing them try to wipe the smile off of their face.
  3. Did you finish the M3 you were working on. I'd like to see a picture of it finished.
  4. This is a great post and Combat is he reason that I wanted a Thompson as soon as i turned 21. I cant even imagine how many miles I crawled with my friends killing Krauts and eating C Rations bought at the surplus store when I was a kid. I carried a thommy burst Thompson then. Several years ago I bought one of the leather Thompson holsters that mounted on jeeps and harleys used in filming Combat. This thread brings alot of memories to life. I did buy all the episodes of all the years of Combat and watch them on the plane as I travel the US.
  5. Glad to be able to assist. I dont remember a large rubber band but it was oner 30 years ago when I got it. I have not had any problems with the gun since it was purchased and Ive shot over 10K rounds over the years. I do want to buy a new acuator knod that will resemble the 28 style instead of the large bulky one. If you want just a display drum send me an e-mail and I have a 10 rounder without the internals I will donate to you. You can find drums pretty inexpensivly that will shoot. Thanks
  6. I believe it was made in 1980. Yhere is a list somewhere. I will try to find the linl. I have one made in 1976 I ordered it as soon as they announced them. I enjoyed it alot untill I got my 1928. They only came with one stick mag and you had to buy a drum as an accessory. My box had the cutout also but no drum. You may want to buy the adapter to make it accept a detachable stock. Enjoy it Here is the link to look up serial numbers. http://www.nfatoys.com/tsmg/tcn/1998/aug/aug98p1.htm

  10. We should do a roll and name all the men we know that were there. The guys I knew that were there at HHour. Jake Redmond Quitman, MS John East Meridian MS Continue if you like the idea, it feels good to write the names of the greatest generation. God Bless our Vets.
  11. Thanks for the info. I have some friends that have supressors in Mississippi and they diddnt know about that either. I appreciate the advice.
  12. I have several supressors but have never heard of any requirement that i have to notify MHP. I bought 3 supressors in Mississippi and did not nofify MHP and the dealer never told me that there was a requirement to do so. Do you have a link to that code?
