I picked up a nice demilled Type 99 LMG and I’m missing 3 small parts as seen in the photo in red:

-magazine catch pin

-magazine catch spring

-Charging handle part tha connects to the bolt to cock it as seen in photos

also looking for a bipod if you have parts please reach out to me!!!!

Hello ! I have what I believe is a 21 series Kokura type 99. I’m trying to complete it, as is missing the monopod, early length 23.5 “ cleaning rod, and the AA wings.

The rifle has the base to attach the monopod and the sight for the wings.

In research it looks like early Kokura has the “flat foot” style monopod.

If anybody has original extras and willing to sell please let me know ! Thanks !

Japanese Type 11 parts - prices

I have a ton of spare parts for my Type 11. What are the. value of some these parts? I have searched all over, but the value is hard to figure out because these things never pop up for sale. Maybe someone here can help me out, or maybe not. I can understand if theres not really a god way to price these. Figure there is no better place to ask though!

For the record also, I dont want to sell these. This is for insurance purposes

Type 99 LMG unknown loose part

My type 99 LMG had an anomaly when last on the range, after a few rounds on the second magazine fired the ejected brass was mangled near the mouth of the cartridge. This gun has always been pretty gentle on ejected 7.7x58 in the past. I stopped shooting and took it home, the pictured part fell out of the receiver when I removed the gun from the case. The part slides in and out freely. The geometry of the part only allows it to be slid in from the left side of the receiver. Appears to be an easy fix as the previous receiver marks seems to indicate it is simply staked in place. I have a few books on this weapon including a copy of the WW2 manual in Kanji. I can't find the pictured part in any of these documents. The part is stamped on the lower side which matches the receiver's serial number. Does anyone know the name for this part and what its function is?

Japanese Type 11 ?

So there's a Japanese type 11 parts kit on GB right now, but what has me wondering is that the seller is selling what seems to be an integral part of the gun, the hopper, in a separate auction. Does it seem odd that the kit would be separated like that ? I'd be much more apt to bid if it was combined, I wouldn't want to win the kit and not win the hopper, or vice versa and to be honest that would keep me from jumping in.

Mixed serial number on Type 99 LMG, is it common or rare ?

I just picked up a Type 99 from someone who brought it from Ohio Ordnance and it has been converted to 7.62/.308 with three different main serial numbers among the three major components.

The upper receiver has serial # 13065, Kokura Hitachi in April 1944

The barrel is Serial # 3108, made in Dec, 1941

The lower receiver and the bolt carrier group have the same serial # of 9343

The rest of the components like the charging handle, dust cover, bolt carrier locking block, and scope all have different serial numbers.

Is this common or rare for a mix party like this one ? It also has this marking on the receiver "HR Guns, P C FL" . Is it an import mark ?

Type 99 LMG Gas Regulator question

My current Type 99 display gun is minus the regulator. I'd like to either find someone who could fabricate one or do it myself.

1/ Can anyone recommend a source for a spare regulator or fabricate one (doesn't have to function, just be generally correct)

2/ Can anyone provide the dimension and thread pitch for the original regulator?

Arisaka Type 38 carbine question

Hi ! I was recently given an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine by my neighbor ! While going over it, I saw the receiver marked ““converted to 250-3000”. I’m assuming this means the Savage 250-3000 round that was probably commonly available at the time. My question is, can the rifle still fire the original 6.5x50 rounds without any issues ? I read on an older post that implied that it was interchangeable but the poster never stated the details

Recently aquired these in a batch of stuff, and as I don't have a type 92 or anticipate aquiring one thought I'd see if anyone here was interested. Best price I have seen on these is $150 a strip and not in as good condition. As always I am flexible and open to offers and trades. Always interested in Thompson , MP38/40, M38 Beretta, FBP, and sten goodies.....kit or parts......:D Hopefully I can find these a proper home.

Been awhile since I've been on these boards. I've recently come into an amnesty Japanese type 89 Single Flexible aircraft gun. It is missing LOTS of parts (thankfully it was registered as a dewat). My New Japanese Type 11

Hey all,

I wanted to share one of my most recent acquisitions: a Japanese Type 11 LMG. This is of course transferable. It has all original finish and is ALL matching, inside and out. I have been looking for one of these for years and I finally have one! This was made in 1941.

There are some interesting notes: the hopper looks like it received a small amount of shrapnel damage (the hopper of course is numbered and original to the gun). I was assured by the seller that it does not inhibit loading or feeding, but I have not tested it out myself yet. Also, there is a weird marking, which I believe *may* be an import mark? It is very lightly struck on the receiver. I can barely make out a name and a city/state. Some city ending in "ville" and a name ending in Sr. I don't know if this was a "property" mark of the guy who brought it back? Or an import mark? But it is not a rewat (at least, not that I can tell) and the manufacturer on the form is "Japan".

Also, there is a screw missing that retains the stock as photoed. If anyone has an idea where I can get a replacement, please let me know. Thanks for looking!
