  1. It's not mine and no connection to the sale, but is sure makes me sad. Anyway..... enjoy :banghead: From the ad: These are the parts of the Colt Thompson that Snohomish County Sheriff's Department received from the Feds during Prohibition. I was told that Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties all received at least one Colt Tommy Gun each to be used for fighting "rum runners" that came through the Puget Sound out of Canada. All parts are original, with the possible exception of the front grip screw. The New York drum and 20 round magazine come with the parts kit but I did not get them from the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. The bore is very nice with no bulges/rings. The rear sight was carefully removed in a mill with a center drill so there was no damage to the holes. The stock was drilled at one time to accept a sling swivel stud as shown in the pictures. I do not wish to sell the parts individually. $14,000 or best offer. Click on the link for lots of pictures. http://s1181.photobucket.com/albums/x429/cascadearmory Link: http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/nfa4sale.cgi?read=140522 - Ron

  2. Since Tommygunner and PK have been mentioned here I will throw my hat in the ring. Most people know of Phila Ordnance as as supplier of high quality 80% machined receivers. We also have a production line set up and running to produce M1928A1 and M1/M1A1 working/shooting guns for Police and Class 2 manufacturers. The guns are made by assembling original U.S. military parts on new manufacture ordnance specification receivers. Most people cannot buy a post-1986 Thompson, but anyone can take advantage of the barreling, gunsmithing, and bluing services which are here in place for the production of the guns. Because we do so much of this work we can provide highest quality work at a good price. Turn around time for barrel, bluing, and gunsmithing work on full and semi auto Thompsons is 4-6 weeks or less depending on what gets done. For info call Bob at Phila Ordnance 215-576-0259 or email Philaord@aol.com.

  3. Is mr. Richardson delivering goods in a timely manner? Last time i ordered a buffer set from him, I recieved it one year later after my thompson was long gone. Dont mind ponying up for quality, just do mot like waiting a long time to get it.

  4. I had posted these photos previously. Here are photos of Dougs M1921 actuator with an original Colt M1921 actuator. The quality, fit, and finish of Dougs actuators is beyond reproach. If you do not want to spend $450 (if that is the current price) I understand - but they are worth every penny if you want and appreciate quality. A M1921 actuator made by machining down a M1928A1 actuator, would, I assume, be based on the price/cost of the M1928A1 actuator you start with. Knurled M1928A1 actuators sell for $200-$250 if you can find them. I honestly can't see anyone doing the conversion for less than $100.(If I am wrong, let me know.) So your rough-around-the-edges M1928A1/M1921 actuator is going to cost you $300 to $350. If you are driven only by wanting to pay as little as possible - it get it, but the Richardson actuators are not all that much more...
