  1. Arthur, Nice research. And thank you for sharing. I too saw these two AOC advertisement flyers on ebay. I was interested but the price rose out of my reach. I really liked the flyer with the picture of the Model of 1919 Thompson. I thought the reprinted from AMERICAN EXPORTER remark at the bottom of the flyer in question was very strange. After all, it would have been AOC that originally furnished the advertisement to the AMERICAN EXPORTER magazine (and paid to have it published in the magazine). I assume it would have been AOC that would have later used the advertisement in a one page flyer. Why use the AMERICAN EXPORTER notation on an AOC advertisement when it is their in-house advertisement? Who else would have been reprinting AOC advertisements in the early 1920's to sell Thompson guns? If E.E. Richardson he would have used his name. Unless this flyer was reprinted many years later and sold as an AOC collectable. I really don't know the answer but it is something to think about given the purchase price. All comments and different opinions welcome!
