  1. After BBB passed today, Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Johnny “Joey” Jones celebrated on FNC's The Five the repeal of the 91 year old $200 tax on SBR/Suppressors .The rest of the co-hosts were nonplussed at this comment.

  2. I was able to gather the parts and assemble a M1928A1 full auto blank gun. The receiver has scratches on it, but otherwise its AOK. I made ten of this model 4 years ago, but have not made more but when I found the barreled receiver, I figured I'd assemble a gun. I put it on Gunbroker because of of the scratches on the receiver and I don't know how to price it. If you are looking for a Thompson and you don't have $25K this could be for you. The only thing missing is bullets. Non-firearm. Ships direct. No ATF. No $200 transfer. M1928A1 Thompson Phila Ordnance Full Auto blank gun. Ships direct. No ATF. - NFA Parts & Accessories at GunBroker.com : 1113740446 Bob

  3. I wondered about that too, maybe he's counting the original saw cut? The nose piece appears to have been saw cut at some point, look at the left side cut behind the ejection port (picture 10). Yet the receiver piece with the ejector is clearly flame cut in that same area? Maybe the nose piece is from a different gun altogether?

  4. This kit has numerous issues. The original barrel would have been marked with 151, but the barrel pictured is far from original.

  5. Many years ago Gordon Herigstad, to whom I supplied many s/ns of imported Colts, visited me. I showed him the original horizontal grip that came on my overstamp Navy from the Erie County NY Sheriff's Dept., c.1974, which I had removed and replaced with an original '21 vertical foregrip for shooting. This horizontal is 8-1/8" long, 1/4" shorter than the WW2 version, and has the Remington offset swivel mounted on the underside. Gordon wanted to borrow it to copy, so I loaned it to him, and he returned it a few months later. I never bothered to ask him whether he simply had taken measurements for a pattern, or actually had copies made, so there may be some repros out there. The finger grooves, incidentally, are 0.55" wide, and 5.50" long on the left side, 5.40" on the right. M
