  2. Bob- Check out my site: THOMPSON REAR SIGHTS I do believe that the DOVETAIL SIGHT has the button that you are talking about. It has been a while since I had it in my hands but I will take a closer look tonight. I am very impressed that you take the time to actually read and attempt to understand the patents. May I recomend "The Complete Book of Thompson Patents" as a good bedtime read (in case you have trouble sleeping). I usually dose off immediately after the patent #!
  3. I am certain that they are all WWII or earlier production. All four cartridges originated at AO Bridgeport during this time. The cartridge second from the left has what appears to be a cardboard or stiff felt tip. None of the cartridges "rattle" when I shake them though I suspect some sort of "riot" load. The load on the right is empty even though the primer is unused.
  4. Here are a couple of .45 Cal. cartridges. The one on the left is a "CALIBER .45 M1911" from 1943 (I put this one in for comparison). The one on the right is some sort of shot shell cartridge. Any help would be appreciated. http://home.epix.net/~oldiron/cartridges.JPG http://home.epix.net/~oldiron/cartridges1.JPG
  5. I think I can help with this one: http://home.epix.net/~oldiron/index.html
  6. Great stuff! Keep me in the loop with this new find. I am very interested in reading the entire article. WILSON
  7. PK. - I do remember seeing a LYMAN adjustable rear sight in Tracie's book in meters. I don't have the book in front of me to give a more detailed reference.
  8. H Harrison - No, I do not have a metric Lyman. What you see is what I have in the way of rear sights (although I do have some duplicates). If you or anyone else comes across any others let me know. At this point I am not interested in any post-Bridgeport items. WILSON
  9. This would be a good time to show off my collection: http://home.epix.net/~oldiron/page2.html Let me know what you think.
