Home Guard Cases Done
drbones2nd replied to deerslayer's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
Cases look amazing. However, I am a little bit hesitant transporting my thompson in a case that advertises what is inside....just screams out, take me!!! Lol. I am a paranoid patty anyways....very nice craftsmanship on those...wow -
Registering A Thompson?
drbones2nd replied to Blade's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
The answer is pretty simple. You cannot, period. Even if you were an sot/ffl, and had a letter of request from a government agency, you still would not get them. This is why legal full auto thompsons in the U.S. are soo expensive.- 21 replies

I also much prefer the gun set up like a 21. Definetely shoots smoother and gives more of that gangster feel. Lol -

Combat Carry Of The 1928 Thompson
drbones2nd replied to riderboy's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
I had also read that they never fully loaded their magazines to increase reliability. It would also make it easier to load a magazine into the gun with the actuator forward. If i had to carry it into combat, thats what i would do. Would not even considet using the drums. -
So, the history of this colt is whats in question?

Dan's Drum Greaser Found
drbones2nd replied to hughlong's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
Just got the greaser in from Greg and got my drums both greased up...I think..lol. Was not totally sure how many times to squeeze in grease or when to stop.... Anyhow, who is next on the list? Just sent a board donation via paypal to David Albert. Hope that is correct. If your next on the list, shoot me an email with your address. drbones2nd@gmail.com -
I purchased some aquilla ammunition from aim. However, when i shot it, the gun ran fine but seemed to run the same speed whether i used the 28 set up or 21 set up. Was hoping for it to really rip with the 21 set up. I have a 21 actuator, spring and was using the hybrid buffer that pk sells. Is this ammo not loaded very hot? How about winchester or magtech?

I purchased a couple of the imported 50 round drums and they worked great. Now, I wouldnt mind picking up a C drum. Have always understood the Khar drums are junk for full auto fire, so what do you reccomend? This is being used in a 1928 savage, so I am not looking for a Colt drum. Just something that works. Thanks, JD

Afraid to ask ,but what did that m1 cost you in Canada? I am prepared to start crying..lol.

He also has listed a sten tube gun for only $8,200. Bet you could buy both for only 35k...lol. Amazes me how sellers do not do a little research before posting guns for sale.

Who Sells 21 Actuator Kits?
drbones2nd replied to drbones2nd's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
Is mr. Richardson delivering goods in a timely manner? Last time i ordered a buffer set from him, I recieved it one year later after my thompson was long gone. Dont mind ponying up for quality, just do mot like waiting a long time to get it. -
Sorry for all of the posts but as I stated before, been out of the thompson loop a while. Just got in a 1928 with a parkarized finish. However, not really happy with how it still shows the heat treating area on the receiver so thought about having it refinished in a black oxide (blued) finish? Who is doing this type of refinish work? I think the industry calls it Du lite? Not sure. I like the look of the black blue shinier finish over the parkarized look. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,
