  1. QUOTE (faabala @ Jun 17 2006, 05:46 AM) A buddy of mine has one on order. Even after I directed him to this forum to read these threads and advised against it. He showed me the e-mails from the guy in Ukraine. He had not had any confiscated and has got good feedback (on the auction site) from everyone he has sold to. He told my friend he has adjusted the way he is demilling it so it will pass customs. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif Too Too dodgy for me but we will see what happens. My buddy got his just fine. It was opened by customs and cleared. He is happy and plans to order another. I guess it is true the guy has all good feedback on the auction site and none have been confiscated. My buddy stated the barrel is slotted, bolt cut off, no firing pin, receiver saw cut with 1/4' missing in three places. Not sure what else.

  3. The UK banned several breeds of dogs back in 1991. http://www.opsi.gov.uk/ACTS/acts1991/Ukpga...910065_en_1.htm They even convicted Princess Anne http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/2497531.stm

  6. Here are a couple good ones http://home.earthlink.net/imagelib/sitebui...&target=tlx_new http://home.earthlink.net/imagelib/sitebui...&target=tlx_new
  7. They snapped to brackets in the Halftrack. They are considered vehicle equipment and were never meant to be issued with the weapons.
  8. It should be brown. That is a decent price for a brown one in good condition. Repros are only $150.00 I use a repro on my bike. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/faabala/DCP_1443.jpg
  9. Well, My wife has been naturalized since 1995, but she only had to take a simple test on US history and government. It was in english but it was not a TOEFL type test. Is it a new requirement? Here are the sample questions... http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/natz/100q.pdf The funny thing is I bet 80% of the native born citizens could not score above 50%. OK there is a reading and writing portion. I found this. http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/natz/natzsamp.htm Being filipino where all the schooling is in english since grade 2 my wife never mentioned that.
  10. Well, I was afraid of. Anyway there are several nice Shermans in the UK. Unless they get "fireflys" or "Easy 8"s it won't look too bad.
  11. Is that for the Clint Eastwood Siapan movie? If so the location is Iceland. I suspect it is possible (with State Dept and Customs permission) to get it back but I would make darn sure the paperwork was 100% before it gets on the ship.
  12. Sorry, to get your hopes up. I added the drum pouch comment after I wrote the original post. But I suspect they are still over there too.
  13. I found an interesting tidbit of info while looking though lead-lease records. We gave Russia 249,755 5 cell 20 RD mag pouches and 40,000 50 Rd drum pouches I guess it makes sense that they are coming back in such nice condition now. They could never have used that many.
  14. I got no problem with legal immigration. It is hard enough for someone to come here legally. I went though the process with my wife and mother-in-law from the Phillipines. Legal immigrants work hard and usually assimilate by the second generation. IMHO illegal immigration is the bigger problem.
  15. Wow, will we back to the days of Walmart stocking Garand and Carbines? I hope so.
