  1. It seems that Martin's website is no more. Does anyone know what happened to it? I sure hope Martin is OK. I cannot find any references to him whatsoever on the interweb.
  2. They're on U.S. Route 11 in Bloomsburg. They've recently partnered with David Spiwak. He's also from Bloomsburg.
  3. The barrel on GB is for a SIG AMT. AMT barrels are chambered for 7.62 NATO any they are shorter than STGW 57 barrels by about four inches. While building a SIG AMT sounds nice, you will see that SIG AMT magazines will cost $400+ while STGW 57 magazines cost ~$100. These magazines are not interchangeable. I have been told that early STGW 57 magazines using steel followers will work on AMTs, but I have never seen that happen.
  4. I'm in the process of transferring a suppressor to a customer via a Form-4. He doesn't want to have anything to do with e forms. So, I downloaded the latest BATF Form-4 PDF directly from the BATF website. We had no issues completing the first Form-4 copy (ATF Copy). But there is no way to complete the next two Form-4 copies (ATF Copy 2 - To Be Returned to Registrant and CLEO Copy). I would have thought the information we entered into 'ATF Copy' would have automatically been copied into the next two copies. But no, that did not occur. Plus, you cannot directly key anything whatsoever into copies two and three. All the entry areas are blocked. So how in the hell are we to complete the entire Form-4?
  5. I know everyone is referring to these kits as "Merle Conversions", but weren't they all made by Black Dog Machine? When I got my kit from PK back in 2010, Paul bought it directly from Black Dog Machine. He then told me that Merle was now selling them, and Black Dog wasn't selling them directly any longer.
  6. Sure it does. I was tired of getting hit in the face with hot as hell, ejected, fired 9mm cases. The sling went on the left and huzzah, no more hot brass in my face.
  7. My favorite NFA item is my RR PP MP5 that I have had since '87. It always goes bang. Even Dolf Goldsmith enjoyed shooting it.
  8. All transferrable Thompsons are classified C&R by BATFE regardless of when they were made or who manufactured them.
  9. When I got my AO '28 Thompson some 19 years ago, I sent it off to PK to check it out. Paul did his thing and stamped the receiver to document his work. My '28 has worked perfectly then and now. It eats everything from whatever magazine I use. I couldn't be happier.
