  1. I reload for my BAR. You must trim cases, as the BAR (or mine, at least), has 'weak' headspacing, and cases will grow longer. I get about 4 loading, then the case head seperates. But what the heck, I'm not in combat with it! With careful buying (and I already have all the gear), it costs me about 12-15 cents per round.
  2. I also will not miss PK. His writing is pompus, and demeaning of anyone who does not share his opinon. His field experience seems to be as the SOF rep in Central America, and his articles were usually attempts to show off his personal collection. His constant insults of anyone else who writes for a gun magazine (I'm guilty, but I stand behind everything I have had published), along with his chest beating proclamations of being the sole source of the facts, will not be missed.
  3. 1. Field expedient to open the BAR (I also have a Group gun, which has done this to me):Remove magazine, Place butt on ground, put pressure on cocking handle, life gun and strike butt on ground. The inertia helps open the bolt. 2. On my gun, when the gas tube gets dirty, the bolt can jam in the closed position. 3. Allways clean the gas tube before storage.
  4. A few months ago I got my Group Industries 1919A4 out, and in messing around, found that several of my buffer disks had broken. I got some disks from SARCO, but they were the wrong diameter, and I had to have them ground down to fit. I'll have the gun at Dry Creek, but the rest of you need to know about this to avoid excessive down time.
