  1. I aquired a mint M2 tripod over the weekend made by Evans. It came with the pintle and T/E plus a kakhi cover. It also has the anti aircraft attachment. A long pole with a pintle at the bottom. It does not have a collar or legs. Can someone give me some info on the mfg. I am told Evans did not make many M2 tripods. Also what do you think the whole thing is worth. Thanks Rob
  2. I bought a pouch today at a gun show here in Florida. It is a 5 cell pouch with U.S. on the back and marked General Shoe Corp 1943 on the inside of the belt loop. This is not one of the listed manufactures of these pouches in Franks book. Allegedly came from Louisville show last year from an English guy who had a lot of crated Thompson Accessories from England. Does anyone know if this might be original or have one themself? Thanks Rob
  3. I have got an original post sample M1A1 that I paid about $1000 for 2 years ago. Imported by collectors corner. All matching and a great gun. I would not part with it ever but $1500 seems low to me. ATF is not allowing further import of c and r stuff. Believe me I have tried with Marstar for the last couple of years. Also have a post 1928 A1. Paid $600 out of shotgun news last year. Later savage gun with smooth barrel and L sight. Also collectors corner. Would not part with it at any price but $2000 seems low as well. Demo letters hard to come by for this stuff. You shouldl be glad you bought it.
  4. You beat me by about one minute on the nice Crosby. Great deal at $650 as well. Enjoy!
  5. Hugh Are you saying you have a B or B1 case that is totally devoid of any markings, marker or otherwise? The case I am looking at has no markings of any kind, is the old straw color with GI snaps and does not have the D ring on the back. Looks like it is very old and does not resemble the ones IMA is selling. Thanks
  6. I was reading last night about about the Thompson canvas cases in anticpation of purchasing one and was wondering who made the WW2 B and B1 cases. None of my reference books say. The original Colt gun case were made by Mills and /or Russco but what about the later cases? Should the later B and B1 case be maker marked? Thanks for the information. Rob
  7. I have a spare mint Avery 1942 Thompson drum pouch that I would like to trade for a mint Boyle Co. drum pouch or a D.L. Fram & Co.; J. Josephson 1942 ; M.E. Company 1940 or R.H.& 0. 1943. We each pay our own shipping. I may be willing to pay some boot money for the foreign made pouches. Thanks
  8. It is gone. Damn you evilbay! What was the part or parts anyway?
  9. unless I am mistaken that is an MP 40 mag pouch. Probably post war reproduction.
  10. Ron How can you tell the vertical foregrip has been replaced by looking at these pictures? This is not meant to be sarcastic but I would like to learn as much as I can about identifing the colt Thompsons as I continue to look toward buying one this year. Thanks Rob
  11. Just another thought. The initial post was an offer to make a contract. The first unconditional acceptance formed a contract and is enforcable in most states. If I thought I was the first reply accepting his terms and he would not sell me the guns I would seriously think about seeing a lawyer. I have won cases just like this one.
  12. I could not agree more about LJ. He made my first TCA convention a real pleasure. Never treated my dad and I like outsiders. I saw all the colts and they were nice but very high for todays market but tomorrow?????
  13. Bill I agree with your comments. This why I have stoped psoting regularly and looking at this site daily. There is not much meaninful discussion about Thompsons occurring on this board anymore.
  14. http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem....p?Item=26338709 AMAZING!!!!!! WHAT i WOULDN'T GIVE TO GET THAT BOX IN THE MAIL.....LEAGALLY OF COURSE.
  15. I predict "shucky2145" will never gp through with this transaction. New buyer with no feedback plus gross overpay equals no sale.
