  1. If anyone is interested in an A3 I listed one on Gunboker.com.
  2. I bought my 1928 Navy in 2001 along with a drum and promptly shot about 500 rounds through it. Once I calmed down from the initial euphoria, I began to realize what it would cost to replace any broken Colt parts (if they could be found) and became timid about shooting it. My Thompson then became a "Safe Queen" for the next several years. A few months ago I asked Tracie Hill what he thought of the Ciener .22 Conversion Unit for the Thompson and his response was very positive. So I ordered one from Tom Woods in Indiana along with three extra magazines and a loader. They're not cheap, but they do work great and protect what has become a sizeable investment. I still get that Chicago Typewriter noise and have a lot of fun shooting it. The Safe Queen has become a Party Girl.
  3. I recently bought a .22 caliber 1927 A3. It wouldn't extract very well so I tried to bend out the hook end of the extractor and, of course, broke it. Does anybody know where I can buy another one?
  4. FYI - For any of you that are interested in WWII history, I am currently reading "All American All the Way - The Combat History of the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II" by Phil Nordyke, Copyright 2005. It is truly amazing what those men did. Since many of them carried Thompsons, our favorite SMG is constantly referenced throughout the book. I highly recommend it.
  5. Call Tom Woods at Artic Seven, 317-535-0988. I recently bought the Ciener Thompson kit from him along with extra magazines and the loader that he sells. The loader really works well.
  6. When 1928 Navys were issued with horizontal foregrips, was there a washer used along with the foregrip screw? Thanks for your help.
  7. I am looking for a horizontal foregrip (also bolt and washer) for a 1928 Navy. Anyone know where I can find one?
