Thank you for the responses. It’s been awhile since I’ve paid any attention to the WWII web gear.

I'm hoping to find the current market value for these two cases. They are in very good condition, probably unissued. The zippers work, there are no tears or stains. The only one I could find for sale recently was an auction. The estimate was $200 to $250. It looks like it sold for $295. Thanks, 1921A

In the late 1980s Tampa PD did have a 1921A with the serial numbers ground/gouged out. I had the opportunity to examine the gun but could not convince them to pull the barrel. They also had the C drum with the numbers defaced in the same manner. If memory serves, TPD said the gun was seized in Melbourne and then sent to them for ballistics testing. I believe there are period news paper articles confirming the seizure and subsequent transfer to Tampa. The story is credible, At the time, TPD’s crime lab was more modern and better equipped than most Florida agencies. Attempts to find out if this gun is still there were unsuccessful but it may be worth another try. It might solve the mystery. Greg Fox

With David’s permission; If anyone is interested in a drum case I have 2 currently listed on Sturmgewehr, a 6 drum L case (SOLD) and a 5 drum C case (SPF). Also have two 6 drum C cases not listed. These will probably be the last of the C drum cases. Greg Fox 1921A

I have a disappointing update to this post. The leather covering material used on the FBI and Police model cases is still stalled in New Jersey for embossing. I spoke to them Tuesday and was told it might be ready to ship this week. Consequently, orders for Police or FBI cases will be further delayed. Orders for Indiana cases and drum cases are not affected. Greg Fox

Good morning all: Update: We’ve finally secured a new source for the correct leather material used on the original Police cases. It’s being finished this week and should ship the week of 4/6/25. There have also been questions about availability of the large end bolts found on some original Police cases. My stock of N.O.S. Eagle bolts ran out about 2 years ago. Since then, we were able to find a few used ones from old trunks and cases and have them reconditioned. These were offered as options with price based on costs to repair and re-nickel them. This week I found and purchased a small quantity of N.O.S. Brass Excelsior and a few Eagle “locking” bolts. These will not require repair but will need to be nickel plated. They will be offered as an option on the Police case. Locking bolts are the same size and shape as the standard bolt. Pictures below show the bolts for comparison.
