  1. Hi all Getting a lot older and it's time to (maybe) sell my collection. Part of it is a 1921 Thompson. I need to get an idea of its value. Here's the info that I know of: 1921 Thompson ex Paramount gun Xcellent shooter 80% Barrel has been replaced by PK as well as complete checkout Colt Internals replaced for shooting. Stocks not 1921 (as far as I can tell) Have aftermarket 100 rd drum - runs great Have couple 50 rd drums, some period Have several 30 rd mags Refinished stocks for display use (cost several hundred) Will give buyer name of previous dealer who may be able to give info on serial number owners. When purchased I knew not much otherwise I may have been able to get upper and lower matching serial numbers. I'm estimating around $25K. Any help appreciated. Thanks MattGinAZ
  2. That is odd. I posted a range report a week ago! (Then again, maybe I just previewed and didn't finish!) Did 2 C drum dumps. First one, about 20 rds thru, a cartridge got cockeyed, like drug on something. I straightened out with a .308 bullet tip (in cartridge) and it dumped fine. The second went without a hitch. I got the feeling that the spring was a little weak, though. Just a feeling. The cover was very tight. I also dumped 2 new repro Crosby drums for fellas. These both opened like fitted gloves! 1. AOK all the way. 2. 180 degrees from feed, cartidges were too tight in the grooves so it hung up. Contacting company to see if it can be replaced. I am satisfied. $559 for a C drum that works is ok. We'll see about longevity. MattGinOK aka mattmer
  3. how do you get those little pics on the left hand side?
  4. I just remember saying that I would take one. Maybe it was someone else, but I got snail mail from Drum Mags in Wakefield MA. The order ltr was postmarked 25 Oct 2006. drummags@hotmail.com. Guy called me several weeks ago saying the drums were in and they were going to charge my card and send the drum. Which they did, on both counts. I have the drum and I thought it was the result of saying 'I'll take one' to one of the group buys. Now I guess there is a mystery as to how I got on the mailing list. Doesn't mean I did not forget how it came about though. These memory things are getting more and more... er.. happening a lot more. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif As time goes by... Mattmer
  5. I've got it in my hot little hands. I'm just not feeling so great after learning about the moonie http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/banghead.gif connection. This was from a 'group buy' referenced somewhere about 1 yr or so ago on these pages. It was 'Drum Mags'. some pages: http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invb...+drum+group+buy
  6. My .02. 1. Any court in the country (or sane person) would not mistake these for Kahr drums. These work. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif 2. I bought 2 and have already sold them to some drum poor shooters at a range I attended. I hope they don't come looking for them, 'cause I don't know who the purchasers were, and I'm not going to look. MattGinOK
  7. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/woot.gif Got my new 'C' drum #276 and will try it out this weekend. Haven't gotten around to cleaning it yet! These are the ones from Drum Mags in Wakefield MA, which so happen to be from Kahr. This weekend I'll give it the ol' high school try! MattGinOK
  8. Yeah. I just couldn't remember who made it. My loss your gain. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif Whatever I had in mind, I've since gotten a 1921 COlt and Savage M1. PK worked 'em and they WORK great! Now if I can get those 2 new Kahr drums to work! Good Luck Darin! Matt. PS: Looking for shooter grade 'C' drum.
  9. Just in case I miss the call, I'll take 1 50rd for 1921 and 1 50rd for M1. PK, excellent work on my 1921!
  10. Anyone have an idea of what a WH NIB C drum is worth? Thinking about getting one and I don't think the ban subset will affect these prices unless someone starts making them again! Thanks
