Thanks Bob, that’s what I have typically used with other MGs. second question, have you ever taken a Breda 30 magazine apart? Mine is groady and I would like to clean it out.. Does the small tab on the follower come off?

Sorry these is no Italian LMG forum, hope you all don’t mind. Just picked up my Breda 30 from NFA jail. Question if anyone knows: Oil viscosity? Does it matter. the English translated manual states-“Breda oil” “British oil” and yes I am not kidding “Olive oil” too funny. All thoughts and jokes appreciated.

Does anyone know why there is always paint on the top of Lewis Drums (side of Chauchat mags as well)? Was this some type of inspection proof?

I realize there are many finishes for the Russian PPSH 41, but generally were they blued when they left the factory? I have read that some were refurbed and given a phosphate finish. All thoughts and comments appreciated.

I love the level of Japanese Type 11 conversations on this board! Would one of you be kind enough to let me know which stripper clip will work in my Type 11? Will 7.7 work or does it have to be 6.5? Any stripper clip sources would be helpful. Thanks in advance
