  1. I'd be interested in a new S&W 76/ Swedish K forum.
  2. West Hurley guns can be problematic as folks here have said. I didn't listen and bought a WH28 years ago because it fit my budget at the time. I was finally able to have it sent to Diamond K for an overhaul and it came back a real jewel. That said, I should have listened to the old Thompson hands here, saved a little more and found a WWII gun. I'm very happy with what I have, but I always seem to have to learn the hard way. Be smart, take their advice! Cheers and welcome to the boards. You can't find a more knowledgeable group of people anywhere else.
  3. It looks like it's one of those OOW 30 round BAR magazines. I doubt it'll sell for that kind of money, but on the other hand, it's cheaper than the $259,000 M1 Thompson. Lol!
  4. When I mentioned, politely, that the gun was a bit overpriced, they got mad at me. Hmmm. I guess I'll pass.
  5. Happy to have the site back up! Thanks for all you guys do.
  6. There's a good chance that the chamber is a bit undersized. When PK rebuilt my WH28, he rebarreled it with a ring sight barrel. However, he did rechamber and headspace the WH barrel and returned it as a spare. I think the undersized chamber of the WH barrel was partly responsible for a number of light primer hits my gun used to have. Since the rebuild, my WH functions flawlessly. If all else fails, you might consider having your barrel rechambered.
  7. The actual sale price was 30k. I thought that was fair, as it was my money on the table. Very nice gun with a great package of accessories. Pending.
  8. The magazines, barrel and a couple of the gas system parts are British. The rest of the kit is Japanese, numbers matching.
  9. I've got a complete Lewis parts kit available for sale. PM me for details and pictures.
  10. I have a complete parts kit for a Japanese Type 92 Lewis machinegun, infantry version. In addition, there's a mouthpiece spanner and a loading tool for the 2 included magazines. Other additional parts include a new spring in the tin container, firing pin, spare barrel, etc. It's possibly the only complete Lewis kit available in the States today. PM me if interested.
  11. That doesnt look like a stock on the back. Looks like some sort of brace. Correct, I believe what we are seeing is a detachable latch system that attaches a leather, single point sling to the back of the thompson, allowing it to hang from a shoulder inconspicuously when being worn under an overcoat. I imagine it is the same system that we see on the thompson that Johnny Depp used in the first bank robbery scene. Here is a photo that has been adjusted a bit to better show the apparatus. The safety appears to be on. Just sayin'.
  12. Opee, I'm interested in buying an adapter for my S&W 76. PM me with your info, please. Chief762
  13. Opee I contacted you several weeks ago about buying a 76 stock converter, and haven't heard anything. If you still have any, please PM me. Thanks, Chief762
