  1. I am currently in need of an original model 10 bayonet lug, and have begun what I believe will be a long search(there was one on E-Bay less than a year ago).If you have one or know someone who has one,I am an excellent prospect. I would like to ask for anyone who has an original piece(with original markings)to please send pictures for reference,of the eagle and the overall shape so as to help me in my search and to insure that I do not acquire a counterfeit.
  2. What is the most comprehensive (to date)guide to serial #s for 870 U.S. issue shotguns? Are there government (or mfg) records to show aquisition dates and configuration of the firearm(trench or riot)? Recent purchase of piece w/ serial S755xxxV out of recoginzed or documented(Canfield/Poyer) late group. Can you help with your later owned or witnessed serial? I know to look for 21" barrel and am not sure how Remington marked modified choke barrels. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bill
  3. Hello, I am looking to find the three philister head, blued screws that hold the Winchester handguards in place.I would like originals, but if a manufacturer could offer them to me in as issued( polished-blued-philister head,etc.).This is a really nice piece and the only detail that is incorrect is the handguard screws,so help me out collectors. Regards, Bill(sob)
  4. In viewing this column recently, I saw that you required a Stevens 77/67 trenchgun for photographing.I purchased this gun at auction several months ago,and I believe due to wear patterns, markings, parts etc. that this is an issue trenchgun. The receiver is marked Springfield-Savage model 67F.It has U.S. and United States Property marked on the right and left sides of the receiver respectively. The barrel is 19 9/16 from the front of the receiver w/2** and 4T punch mark. The barrel itself is approx. 4/32 wall thickness with no front sight bead hole drilled. There is no evidence of a front band being installed, and the front of the magazine stops at the type "W" handguard/bayonet mount. The barrel has a flaming bomb and is marked for 3" shells. The stocks are faded black w/ a reverse pattern "T" shock pad.The sling that came with the gun has faded USN and anchor markings. The finish is a phosphate or parkerize gray that is uniform in wear (95%) with a black trigger group. This gun has no serial number that is visible and I have not attempted to disassemble it.I would be happy to supply detailed pictures for your examination and or reference.
