      Hi,

I am interested in the drum that you pictured.  It is a NO._______ number drum made by Stanley.  It is worth a few bucks.  How much were they asking for it?  Do you remember the name and location of the shop?  Thanks for your help.

      Best regards,

      Chuck Schauer

  3. Okay thanks, here's the only pics of the strap on the top side of the drum pics. Wish I had taken more. The strap was wider in the center of strap where it would lay on the shoulder.
  4. gijive, Thank you sir for the great information. The shoulder strap seems to be unique. I don't have it with me but seemed different than other manufacturers. I could be wrong but my guess.
  5. I was traveling and stopped in an old Army/Navy shop in New England area and they had a Colt era "L" drum in this canvas pouch and couldn't make out what the marking was on it. At the time took a few pictures but not many and was hoping someone could help identify it?
  6. Wanted to report. Paper form 4 through snail mail got approved and done in 4 months and 20 days! Got the physical Stamp on paper, which is what I wanted, the old school way. Not bad at all...... Stampcollector
  7. Yes, home safe and sound. Thanks to the Hill family for a great time. Look forward to coming next year.... Keeping the Thompson history alive and well!
  8. rpbcps- Loving the display and the pics of you and the wife, just like the 1940 pic! Glad the show went well. Great job! "Keeping the Thompson history alive"
  9. rpbcps, please take pictures of your display at Blyth Battery Museum later this month. Looking forward to seeing them already ?
  10. Hello all, wanted to post a few pics I took of this military 28' I had seen at the "WWII American Experience" museum in Gettysburg, PA. About a week ago. The only description on the little sign was (Thompson M1928A1 Submachine Gun .45) and had a dummy receiver that just said "Thompson Machine Gun Model 1928" as far as I could tell. Trigger frame had FULL AUTO on 2 lines and was clearly WWII. I will post in the Firearm Museum Forum with a lot of pics and descriptions of stuff in that museum, was great with so many vehicles, tanks, jeeps, more guns and a lot of other stuff, soon!
  11. I'm a real fan of a form with the stamp stuck on it. I never wanted to efile for that reason. But im sure in the future that will be the only option. And it is much faster. Stampcollector
  12. I will say a Big "Thank You" to all the people mentioned above also! Was a great show & shoot again and I enjoyed it all. I picked up some items to further my collection. Great seeing everyone again. look forward to next year!
  13. I hope I get my new toy before I leave Thursday but, I don't think it will be approved in time. see you soon ?
  14. Wow! With all these replies, approval times seem to really be getting better! I am waiting on a MG. It's been 44 days today so I may hear something soon I hope ??
  15. Thank you, Greg, for the update! Some things are out of your control. Totally understandable. Stampcollector
  16. Very Nice display! Thank you for posting, sir
  17. I've seen some for sale with all the hardware in beautiful condition. The hardware alone is getting hard to find! So, a plus sold with it!
  18. I saw one sell for $300.00 or $310.00 on an auction site a month or two ago. I was surprised; EBAY still has them for sale still.
  19. I have #392 and #394 that I purchased about 6 months ago or so.
