  1. I had a place down in Houston Texas do mine years ago. Not sure if it was before or after you SBR'd it. They even reproduced the uneven stamping on the ordnance wheel.
  2. Reproduction German aiming plates are out there. They are getting hard to find now that the source of lafettes is drying up.
  3. Postwar Belgian made belt with a spurious US marking added.
  4. Thanks. It was dunkelgelb and red oxide over the Yugo green. I did have to replace the sled since my M53 would not fit properly. Not even sure where I found a sled on the loose but IIRC it was priced very cheaply and worked perfectly. Of course, after taking the sled out, I realized I did it in the most difficult way possible LOL.
  5. I just wish I had the sight block on my lafette. Wish it was a FA weapon too.
  6. Welcome and wow that is a LOT of camo in the background!!
  7. Dang. The one I bought for my BFONG Thompson did not fit correctly. I had bought the SA one and then sent it back for the FA one. The new one fit the barrel correctly but not the forearm. The band had rounded "corners" on the bottom, and I had to inlet the stock and use a clamp to get it to fit properly. Not sure if the Phillie Ordnance BFONG uses USGI wood, but I am thinking not as the wood was fairly soft. Maybe I should have tried it on the SBR first.
  8. This is good to know as I bought one as well and it was too large which means it was for the semi auto.
  9. Unsure at this time. Here is the thread about them on this board. Phila Ordnance M1928, M1928A1 Full Auto Blank Gun - Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board - MachineGunBoards.com Forums
  10. I too have one of Bob's amazing Thompsons. Blanks are proprietary, for now. He is working on making them work with regular .45acp blanks upon ATF approval. If you already have a FA lower you can purchase just an upper from him. He makes both the M1 and the M1928 versions.
  11. A little update. I offered $6500 for the rifle and 3 mags. He pretty much turned it down without hesitation. Then a few days later asked me again. Same thing. He was hoping for closer to $10k-$12k. I said thanks and have not heard back since then. His rifle is the civilian version, blued with a leather sling. The parts kit may have been a military one with parkerized parts. He had two 12's, five 20's and one 30 round magazine.
  12. Some aluminum counter sunk solid rivets should be easy to find and just as easy to get the bucktails looking good after some practice.
  13. Not sure. $6500 is about all I could (or want to) swing. Just so close to being debt free, then this pops up LOL. He has told me the gun is blued and has 12s, 20s and a single 30 round magazine. He also told me to be careful because he would most likely take just about any reasonable offer I had. The only other thing I know is that he is motivated to sell and he plans to keep his Sten Mk2 as his only NFA.
