  1. Hi, Maybe I did not make myself clear. It was the manufacturers of the individual parts I was querying. I have a Fazakerley with an FA serial number. The trigger housing screw position has a pre April 1942 position, the cocking handle is a mk 5 style - although this is not uncommon. However all the info I have to read and on the internet quote codes for the parts manufacturer eg my trigger guard cover is stamped S & S (Spear & Sons or Co?) rather than a code. I wanted to clarify that in the early days of Sten mass production this happened before codes became uniform.
  2. Hi, I have a Sten mark 2 which has company names instead of codes. For example S & S on the trigger cover, B & T on the mag housing and H on the butt/stock instead of manufacturer codes, or did these come later? Is this common or at least understandable? Any shedding of light on this would ease my confuddled mind!
  3. That was Battlefield Vegas a few years back! I would go again in a heartbeat! Didn't shoot a Bren, but did shoot Colt 1911, M1 Garand and Thompson, AK47, SVD Dragunov & Tokorev, Sten & Enfield! Spent a fortune but it was worth every penny, and my wife and son had a go too. Bren & PPSH 41 are on the to do list.
  4. Yes I'm based in the UK! So I agree that a drill and non drill is not a major issue as I can't/won't or will shoot it!
  5. Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, a quick search come up with no results! Would anyone know if a DP marked Bren Mk 1 (old spec deact) would be any worth significantly less than non DP? Does have matching numbers and a clear Enfield crown.
  6. Hi, Thanks for the response, sorry for the slow reply but our internet has been off for 2 days almost and very nearly plunged us into the dark ages! I did see the pinned post and ascertained its validity, but as with anything I sought another pair of eyes! Thanks again and the pouch is on its way to me
  7. Hi, Thanks, I'd read that and was confused as to whether that was a 'brand' that was copied for reproduction purposes or was just a made up name.
  8. Having looked at threads on this forum over and over I'm just confusing myself now. So can I please have some expert opinions on the validity of this being a genuine ww2 mag pouch?
  9. Thanks for the offer! Couple of years back we went to Vegas and we went to Battlefield Vegas. We shot so many different guns they were waiting for more than the 3 of us that stood there! I shot the 1911 Colt, Thompson & Garrand - US WW2 package. Springfield Mk4, Sten gun Dragunov & AK47 So at least I've done it!
