  1. What have you heard that is a negative about having a c&r? I would like to hear it?
  2. Phil, in the conversation I almost remember him saying something like that. He said it was an early one. I think you answered my what am I missing question.
  3. You may be on to something. From what I have seen, there is only 1 recoil spring, doesn't a semi 27a1 have 2? There are holes for 5hem as I can see.
  4. When you pull the actuator back with no other input it locks even without a magazine. Just like a 21,28,28a1.
  5. There is no selector switch. It is the original housing. I am going to get another look at it next week.
  6. Admittedly I am not real familiar with semi auto Thompsons. This one is not for sale but the owner just got it from his father's estate. On the phone the conversation was all about nfa weapons. But I was shown it today. He tells me it fires from an open bolt. All the innards are WH27a1 and I have not shot it. Would like to take it out to the range out of curiosity. The bolt locks back and I am sure a drum can be loaded without a 3rd hand. It is not an sbr. With the bolt forward, I pull the trigger and the hammer releases. The owner says he recalls as a kid it ran like a full auto, could that mean from an open bolt, he thinks but that was 30 plus years ago. What am I missing? Oh, with the housing separated, it functions like a semi meaning the sear catches the bolt.
  7. Why not just modify the mag catch and not mutilate perfectly good magazines.
  8. I think even kahr refers to them as submachineguns. But I agree, some idiot widow not knowing what an nfa weapon is, is their target.
  9. Every one pictured is not an NFA item. I did not really take the time to read it.
  10. If you can find the blade, I can set you up with the compensator. I really haven't looked.
  11. I gave the bolt a good coat of oil. My Thompson runs on mobile 1 synthetic. What I also did was was add another buffer. I even added a third and it loved that. My ftf I attribute to the coldness so I warmed it up too. This worked for me.
  12. Are you looking to do a display? I have a stripped semi lower.
  13. Getting good input. Going to try the Uncle Dudley answer. Tiz, I sent them an email, Outsider, how is that project coming along?
  14. The nurses get it done. The Dr practices and get the glory. How about Wizard. One of the things I do for a weekend gig in the summer is run a Neapolitan wood fired food trailer. I make over 6400 on weekends over a 10 week period. I am called the pizza wizard when operating it. Wizards make magic happen.
