  1. I have heard that fnc breech bolts are a must have and only obtainable from old guns.... I went the ar180 route... I've sourced my parts from Pete FLEIS.... but truly should get a few spares whatever way you go.... once you consider spare parts you'll be in the ar15 registered receiver price range. It's a fun quest.
  2. Thanks for the history. That was very helpful. Why do you think that compensator is not drilled and pinned? He says in the description that it is loose. thx
  3. yes, that's the one. I didn't know if it would violate rules to post the link... I have a WH 28, which is OK but I want a shooting Bridgeport that is not so mint that I feel bad shooting it... I would have sent my WH to PK for his treatment but well that's not an option... I am looking for 1. investment (all my guns are bought with this in mind) 2. to shoot and enjoy, (I would never buy a NIB MG for this reason.) any further thoughts? thx
  4. Hey guys, I am looking at that Bridgeport 1928 on the auction website for $25k. Matching numbers BUT it has been plated chrome or something else and loose front sight. What are you opinions on these. Too high, about right? thx
  5. HI folks I am looking at my next NFA purchase. I am considering either a Bm59 or a m14/conversion. I am looking a the different pros and cons. Parts seem pretty available for both. Mags this advantage leans towards M14, plus I already have M1A guns and mags Controllability leans toward the BM59 What are you guys think one versus the other. Obviously, as time goes on I might get the other. But times are uncertain and if one was going to only buy one, which way to go? Thanks Heath

  7. HI Folks I am looking at getting a transferable Valmet 7.62x39 RPK, stamped receiver. I would really like to remodel this into a more modern gun with shorter barrel and magpul Zhukov furnature. Do you think that these receivers can be built up to use Eastern European parts, ie the more available kind? Front and rear trunnion, different barrel dust cover...etc Thanks Heath
  8. I am curious about the registered re-weld thompsons... I found this one on gunbroker and it has not sold and I am curious what the more informed think about these.. "Thompson M1 Savage" from Frank at Midwest Tactical Are they decent shooters? What is a good price for these? What questions should an interested person have before buying one? What other advice or words of wisdom does the community have for a novice to these guns? thanks heath
