  1. Please add me to the BM-62 club. Berben import s/n 230X purchased approximately 30 +/- years ago. I believe that I'm the second owner. Came with a box, one magazine, but no manual (would pay for a copy, or if someone could scan one and make available). It has the P. Beretta receiver (no U.S. markings), a hard black butt pad, and I installed the tri-comp. (but still have the original). I don't believe the gun has been fired other than at the factory (I had a Springfield BM-59 and then got stupid and used it in a trade). Firearm came with an unusual grenade sight that mounts on side of standard gas block and folding grenade sight w/ gas cutoff). Others may be able to identify if this original or not. I'm traveling for the next few weeks but will send a picture when I return.
  2. Jon, I received my Thompson loader today. This is an incredible piece!!! So well made and more like a piece of high end furniture or art (but fully functional). Wait till the guys at the range see this baby . . . AWESOME!!! Thank you!
  3. Jon, Thank you for the update on the next production run. I'll wait for your e-mail and am ready to send off funds. The craftsmanship in these is something to be very proud of. Thank you!!!
  4. Perfect. I'll look forward to receiving your message as I'm very impressed with the high level of craftsmanship!!! Thank you!!!
  5. Now these are unique! Will you take advance orders for one unit in your next batch? Thank you!!!
  6. I have a private party selling M1 Thompson, but some of the roll markings appear faint. Others look sharp and crisp. I thought that I would ask the opinion of the experts on this site what they think? Original parkerizing finish? Or a re-parkerized finish? Is that type of rear sight correct for this serial number range? Anything else look out of place? Thank you
  7. Richard - An excellent web site with many fantasic photographs! I liked the one titled, "Tactical Demonstration." Uncle Dudley, I'm surprised that during the war the Chicago Tribune newspaper was printing with color photographs. That one is worth framing! Thank you again to everyone who has shared these great historical artifacts!
  8. Thank you to everyone for all the information. The knowledge base in this forum is incredible. The additional motorcycle and Thompson photographs are great to see as they were a very unique part of the WWII war effort. In the original photograph that I posted the Thompson SMG's are missing magazines. While it was a great WWII publicity photo, that platoon wasn't going to do much in the way of wreaking havoc. Attached is the cover of the August 1941 edition of Popular Science. The Thompson SMG's were getting plenty of notoriety in the print media.
  9. OK, I'm a new member to this site so give me a rookie pass if I mess up this posting. You may have seen this before, but attached is a photograph from the August 1941 edition of Popular Mechanics magazine with a WWII Thompson motorcycle platoon. I'll need the help of the experts here on this site . . . 1928's or 1928A1's? William Borgh Houston, TX
  10. That may meet the definition of insanity. While it is only speculation, at this price range I'm sure there are a few members here who would be willing to cull one out of their collection.
  11. Without any markings or provenance that dollar amount seems at stratospheric levels. Wow . . .
