  1. Hello Richard, about two days in I did open a case with them, used the drop-down to select "security" when they asked the nature of the issue, I politely explained there may be a legal issue and if they could please cancel the listings but they completely ignored me and let the auction finish. Doesn't really say much for GB's customer support or even proper management of the website. You would think that if a legal issue did arise then they opened themselves up to a liability by ignoring being notified. Maybe not, who knows what their fine print reads. Then to add insult to injury I had a bunch of hard heads keep bidding the items up anyway so now I get the red ass with the final value fees. Not one of my brightest moments 🤡
  2. Thank you Ron, I had no idea. These seemed to be ok not too many years ago, GB was littered with saw cuts back then, that's where I bought them all.
  3. GB won't let me end the listings with bids. I did add a huge headline to the description though "ending" the auctions and saying no bids would be honored.. Hope that's enough keep me out of hot water..
  4. Okay, just found out this sis a no-no now, but GB won't let me cancel the listing... Anyone have suggestions ? Can I just add a message to the listing stating it's not for sale anymore ? I'll be legally bound to sell to the high bidder but would they pursue me on an object that isn't allowed anymore ?
  5. Hi folks, I'm finally selling my original grip on GB, it's paired with a saw cut receiver parts kit and a Seymour "L" drum. You may remember it from about six years ago when I battled Huggytree on the eBay auction, this is the same grip and if I remember correctly the seller was a member here as well. The glare from the lighting makes it look shinier than it really is. I did wipe all the wood with a drop of boiled linseed oil and please pardon the cat hair 🙄 and yes his name is Tommy. I'm in Henderson CO if any local members want to take a look-see. Auction starts at one penny, no reserve.
  6. If he has Cpanel or equivalent then editing his page(s) is easy peasy, using file manager and the various editors (html etc.) You can also change file/folder permissions (read, write etc). I even think FTP client Filezilla offers same options.
  7. Hi Bob, thank you for the info. Is the hopper an accessory/option or was the the gun unable to operate without it ? It would just be destined for display but I'd hate for it to be incomplete. Steve
  8. So there's a Japanese type 11 parts kit on GB right now, but what has me wondering is that the seller is selling what seems to be an integral part of the gun, the hopper, in a separate auction. Does it seem odd that the kit would be separated like that ? I'd be much more apt to bid if it was combined, I wouldn't want to win the kit and not win the hopper, or vice versa and to be honest that would keep me from jumping in.
  9. Are any members here planning on placing a bid ? I have one so I'll stay away so someone here can add it to their collection but otherwise I think I'd like to bid.
  10. When I had my shop in New Orleans (pre-Katrina) I used to rent out some of my inventory to the local movie industry, they really mucked up a lot of good vintage. They ruined a 1950's aqua stove, chipped and marred up the once perfect porcelain finish. They sprayed other objects/wall art with something hazy to reduce glare, was a real pain to clean off. I eventually said no to any more rentals and told them that if they wanted to use something from my shop they had to buy it.
  11. "It's a small, small world" Towards the end of this thread, the grip is discussed. Possibly real, but likely heavily sanded and stained/dyed. Original seller is verified shady. http://www.machinegunboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21486
  12. 4'7", but on the bright side her low center of gravity likely made her quite stable in a shooting stance. And she probably doesn't bump her head as much as tall folk
  13. Not sure if this has been posted here, but she apparently trained in Israel after the war. Saw this pic with her standing in front of a Sten (?) and a Thompson. Internets seems to confirm as true.
  14. Hi everyone, I have a Polish RPD kit I want to display but my provided receiver is massacred. I really don't want a non-original dummy or a new semi, I'd rather rather have a demilled receiver that has been legally welded (blocking bar or whatever might be needed) back to the point where the gun can be assembled. Does anyone out there offer this type of service ? I don't care if it still has gaping torch cuts as long as the thing holds together. Thanks ! Steve
  15. It's the exact same grip as the GB auction, he must be having his friend sell it for him https://www.gunbroker.com/item/743545170 https://www.ebay.com/itm/292436114113?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&fromMakeTrack=true
  16. Lol ! I didn't notice that, good eye ! The Bottle of purple wood dye in the background does not help his case either.
  17. I do have and adjustable sight for it but my laziness has been winning lately and still need to install. I was able to make (modify) my own rivets, I spun them in my drill press and re-shaped the heads with my dremel coarse sanding drum, pretty quick job.
  18. I understand your point and I'm not saying his current item is fake, I'm just pointing out that he has been exposed as being dishonest and that he might not be the best person to do business with. He also uses purple stain lol.
  19. But I did message the seller and he claimed to not have knowledge about the originality, and then I found a old link where he's asking for info on the grip and he was informed it was a repro. So he : A: He posted a thread asking about the authenticity of grip. The grip was then identified as a repro. B: He listed the grip on ebay, and when I messaged him about the originality he claimed he did not know but that it came from a collection. I have screenshots posted in the linked thread of my communications with him.
  20. Here we go, previous ebay auction with S mark ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Thompson-1928-Vertical-Grip-S-mark-/253041399583 My thread of shame http://www.machinegunboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20969
  21. The one I bought from him last year was unmarked, can't take pics because I threw it out but he sold one recently that was marked with a suspect "S", there is a thread here with a auction link I'll try to find it.
  22. While this recent grip, the one currently on GB may be authentic, I see he's applied his signature (Minwax?) dark stain to the finish. When I bought my sanded fake from him (the one Devious posted, before he reshaped it and put it up for sale) the smell of the new stain was blatantly obvious. He also got himself tangled up in a web of lies that were revealed here in a past thread. I also suspect he's using a fake "S" stamp. A previous grip he listed had a (in my opinion) suspect S stamp, to me the font didn't look correct (Unless Savage used different style stamps). My Savage wood pieces ( vertical foregrip, horizontal grips, etc) have an S that has a slightly smaller upper loop than the lower loop. The stamp on the suspect grip he showed last time had perfectly evenly sized upper and lower loops. I may be a be a newb but I do have a keen eye for detail. Pics are of my real deal vertical grip that I battled Huggy for. I can remove if anyone wants to see pics of the S stamp.
  23. He put another up for sale, I can almost smell the fresh coat of dark purple-ish stain from here. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/743545170
  24. Swoop in with some heavy lift helicopters and snatch it back. Kim would have a fit.
