  1. I know they're the same, but am interested in mounting a flow-through suppressor on them but don't want to cut down and rethread a barrel. I think TROS can make an adapter to 5/8X24. Thanks for the Board! BP
  2. Suomi barrels fit my K perfectly. I cut one down to 1" past the shroud and threaded it, and put a 3 lug adapter on. Works great! All those parts are out there, you just have to be fast before someone else gets them. See them on Sturm all the time.
  3. I've got the repop black composite grips on one of mine. Somewhat thinner than the original wood ones. Really like them. BP
  4. Good idea to mount the red dot! I could use one on my m-50. Any interest in making another one to sell me? Thanks, BP
  5. Did anyone see what the Lend Lease BAR went for in the recent auction? Thanks for the Board! BP
  6. Is there much gas blow back from the ejection port? I assume the ROF has increased also. Nice project.
  7. Just got two paper Form 1s back, 100 days, but did get the nice stamps! Son got two eform 1s back, 45 days, facsimile stamps. I guess I'm just a stamp collector.
  8. Welcome to the Bren world! I recommend the brass catcher. When shooting my FA MKII from the bipod the downward ejected brass is very hot and will burn your arms for sure. Also easier to collect your empties. Also, a Bren Drum is really cool. It speeds up the ROF compared to magazines. The greek .303 runs best for me. Good Luck, BP
  9. Have you tried Reloadable Shells/ Pace Ind? Been using the 37mm variant for years, now moving up to 40mm. Lots of options, I highly recommend them! Happy Independence Day to the Board! BP
  10. Hello David: Do you know of any source of information on the values of WW2 era flare guns? I have quite a few I got from an uncle and was going to sell them. Thanks for the Board! BP
  11. Learned about it on another board, saw it for sale on Amazingon. Post by the author sounded like he didn't know a lot about them. Wondering if its worth getting? Thanks for this Board! BP
  12. Took my DLO cut/welded PPSH to the range last weekend with 4 drums of Chiny copper washed ammo. First drum was exciting as I usually shoot about 10 round bursts, but this time it ran away after I let off the trigger and fired about 25 rounds. Tried again and it did the same thing. Took out the bolt and about half of the sear catch area had chipped off. Put in a new polish bolt and it ran about 4-5 rounds after letting off the trigger. Noticed that the sear had been rounded off a bit from the broken bolt, so filed it square and it seems to be okay. I know that the Chinese ammo is hot, but wonder if the bolt was the culprit? Anyone else ever have a similar experience? BP
  13. Thats where I keep a copy of the form 4 in my original russian bringback!
  14. The number of rings or grooves is unusual. Do you know the country of origin?
  15. I have a cut/welded DLO Bren. It is a great gun to shoot, probably shoot it more than my BAR. Serial no. is on the top back of the body or receiver. some small parts have part numbers on them that don't match the serial numbers. Date of production may be on the body. None of my barrel numbers match the body number. unless they have been electro penciled on. Avoid parts marked DP, for Drill Purpose- worn out/ unserviceable. Get Thomas Dugelby's book "the Bren Gun Saga". BRP guns and Apex have plenty of spare parts. Barrels and Mags are relatively cheap. Not sure of the going price for kits, Check GB. Good Luck, BP
  16. I had one of my M6's out yesterday, ran a couple mags through it. Very fun to shoot with the progressive trigger. 2 or 3 shot bursts, or singles if you want. Don't need a selector! This one has no safety or selector. Cleaned the plate rack at 20 yards with iron sights, How much did the one on GB go for?
  17. Thanks for sharing! I just started collecting the single action revolvers. They are all a piece of history.
  18. There was adhesive in the seam where I cut it apart. The cushion would rotate freely on the stock before I cut it. I have other stocks on which the cushion does not rotate freely. Maybe excess adhesive? This is on a Wilson/port said build, wouldn't do this to an original K!
  19. You might notice the seam on the rubber stock cover. I use a razor knife and carefully follow the seam, the cover comes right off. rubber cement back on after painting. Also remove all the trigger etc pins, they should not be painted. rivets should be painted. BP
  20. Of course, if you are transferring it from a reputable, well known seller such as, Morphys, Poulin, Rubin M., etc, I would go with the direct transfer, and not have aC3 slow the process down! But that's just me, Do whatever you think is better, and safer! Thanks for this board and all the sharing of opinions and thoughts. BP OUT.
  21. Hello Rekrap: Greeting from FL. Thanks for posting, great pics. So I guess you use supersonic ammo and the ported barrel slows it down to subsonic? I too got a pair of those grips. They look great on my tiger stripe port said/K. Regarding suppressors, I got a Suomi barrel shortened and threaded, added a 3 lug adapter and just run my HK can on it. have to use subsonic ammo, and do get a bit of gas in the face from the ejection port with longer bursts. Wondering if the larger volume of your can reduces this? BP
  22. It looks to be aftermarket. Got it with a bunch of misc. parts, glad someone wrote what it was on the side! very different from the PPSH mag adapters. Will post pics next week.
  23. I've been following the PPSH mag adapter thread, glad MM found one. Any of you guys familiar with the Yugo 9mm adapter? Fit is very tight in the gun and magwell. Haven't taken the file to it yet. Wondering if anyone has one and how it works. Thanks for the board! BP
  24. Do your numbers include the Wilson built guns? They have an L prefix in the serial numbers. How about the Pearl built guns? They look exceptional to me, with a bent trigger frame, No weld beads! BP
