BNZ41 For Sale on Gunbroker
Atllaw replied to Robert Henley's topic in The MP38-40 - 43/44 Message Board
Doesn’t it seem like these come in waves? Haven’t seen anything worth look at in a year, it seems and then and MP38 a month ago and 3 C&R mp40s just today. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention over the past year. -
Thanks. Very helpful.

Long dead thread, but interested in a reasonably priced MAT49 if someone knows of one available. Preferably a 9mm. Many thanks! Will -
Blish locks with serial numbers?
Atllaw replied to SP Sarge's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
No experience with this in Thompson’s, but in surplus garands, a few foreign countries would add the serial numbers to stocks and other parts. Might be the case here. -

Browning 1918 Winchester RIA
Atllaw replied to MrBill's topic in Browning Message Board (Full Auto Only)
If anyone on the board bought this one or sold it, I would love to talk to them. Mine is just about 20 serial numbers off and also listed in the book. FOIA indicates mine was in the Bay Area in the 49s when it was first registered. This one was a commercial one as well. There were no date or flaming bombs on the end of the barrel of this one or mine, just the markings seen in the RIA ad. Would love to compare notes. -
RIA Thompson sales results

Sat this one out. Thanks for posting. Sounds like it was pretty active. Do you happen to know how much the winchester BAR, lot 369, went for? -
Atlanta GA, Thompson Sub - Machine Guns
Atllaw replied to Melvin's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
That is awesome. I live in Atlanta and never realized they sold their Thompsons. All I had heard of was the Winchester 73s. Have a few pics of the gun you could share? -

Very nice. Any history on it? Curious as to its journey back into the US post 68 to become a pre-sample. -
1918 BAR flash hider made!
Atllaw replied to deerslayer's topic in Browning Message Board (Full Auto Only)
On the original flash hiders, the one I received when I bought a 1918 Winchester Bar had no hole for the spammer wrench. Just hand screwed on. Bar was 1919 manufacture and a commercial one. Anyone know if the no hole flash hider might have been original? -
Someone should tell them...

Amnesty registered too. Might be the only W. Hurley that was:) -
Sorry.. Ammo Empire

The privi stuff was .60 per round consistently from SgAMmo before the corona and never had a misfire on it from my BAR. Same price as the HXP when CMP was last selling it. Sh Ammo or ammo expre, which is a related site with no tax and free shipping of things ever get back to close to normal.

+1 to avoid auto weapons. I dont believe they actually sell anything as most of their inventory has stayed the same for at least 3 years.

Fascinating stuff. Thanks for posting. Might consider a cross link on the gangsters and lawmen thread. -
1920 C drum on Gunbroker for $9500.
Atllaw replied to maxfaxdude's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
When I first saw this post I thought Jerry might have fixed up the 100 round fixer upper Drum he has, but guess there is a different one. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/856673614 I bought my Thompson from Jerry. My experience he will never lower a price and will just let it sit out there for as long as it doesnt sell. Some of the things he has listed on gb have been there for years. He has some great stuff, but you will always pay top dollar for it. Occasionally he will throw in some extras with a sale. -
FYI, I just received my second FOIA back on my BAR (both were submitted at the same time in October)
-
Emailed the request and letter. I filed two the same day - one on the Thompson and one on a 1918 bar. Actually the Thompson came back in just two months - they were both filed October 15. Still waiting on the BAR. I was shocked it came back so quick.

I think I will appeal just see if I can get a little more information. Even little things like whether the original owner was a individual or what title they put would be helpful. Also, the nature of the exemption on the second transfer. Any idea if the NFA has a minimum age to begin with to own a NFA item? Could help since that original person would need to be at least 98 or 101. Funny because I submitted the request on October 15 - 79 years to the day from the date of the form 1.
-
I will try the appeal route for more info.

Thanks much Tom!. Great news. I will try to trace it back. The hunt begins.
