I have an IMI pre May gun too. Runs great.
Recommend wood stock, the folding stock sucks.

If you call your local field office and tell them you want to surrender your license, likely they will send someone out to retrieve it and your records. The local field office here will do so.

Just remember when you die, you/your estate will have to transfer to someone named in your will tax exempt form 5 or tax paid form 4 if not named.

I just had a Form 4 approved in 5 months for a MG. Current FFL/SOT from in state resident.
-
I just got one back right at 10 months door to door.

I have 10 GI Carbines and an original Inland factory M2. Neat little guns and a handful on full. Some of my favorite centerfires to shoot.

I have one if needed. Email me.

I had a batch of 223 brass that at one point was too brittle. It would separate at the neck/shoulder junction like clockwork. Junked it and no problems since.
I agree with Federal rifle brass being soft. I do not load it. Run their pistol brass no problems.
It is also possible the brass coil that became those cases had suspect chemistry, that it wasn't drawn correctly, or the cannulure wasn't applied correctly. The ammunition industry, like all manufacturing, isn't going to be 100 % all the time.

Run lead all the time from round nose to H&G 68 SWC. I do not have a comp'ed gun.
Properly sized and lubed bullets will not lead. The new coated lead slugs shoot very well for me and they run through a bullet feeder. See Precision bullet.
I have casted lead for years and still have a Star sizer for the traditional lube groove. Not tried to coat at home yet.

IMHO, any M1 or M1A1 that saw service has the value tied to the specific period of time, WW2.
I own one Thompson, an M1A1. The only difference is the fixed firing pin vs. traditional style.
The fact the Thompson I have saw service against the Nazis or the Japs has an intrinsic value hard to quantify.

It wasn't that long ago you could get Blazer 9mm for $77/case. 45 was expensive at a few more $ per box.

There is an exception to in person 4473 if the transfer does not need to go through NICS. See ATF procedure 2013-2.
ATF used to publish the 4473 part 2 for non-over the counter sales. I have not seen this form for several decades. Somewhere I have a copy an older FFL/SOT gave me from Subguns.

I have one in Maple, works great!

Is there a group rate at any particular hotel like the courtyard for the TATA show?
-
Sold. Message inbound.

I got one from the show. They were on the tables at dinner.

Very well done all the way around, dinner, show, and shoot. Fred & I send our thanks to Tracie and the Hills.

Been loading ammo and should finish this weekend. Need to run the remaining 45 ACP on the Camdex. Curse the guy at Federal who decided to put small primer pockets in 45 ACP brass!
Had another case of 22s come in for the 180. Loaded 9 drums the other night.

If I were to get a new Carbine I would get one from Inland or Fulton Armory. Or you could get a Fulton receiver and assemble.
Inland is an investment cast receiver machined and Fulton is machined from billet.
I have ten war time M1s and an Inland M2. Neat little critters, although I like semi better than full in the Carbine platform.

I recently received a four piece Thompson stock set from Dan Block. Top notch.
He will finish it as you want it too. I had mine oiled only as I prefer the wood natural.

Always wanted to shoot a BAR. Pre sample or transferable?

See the NFA handbook, Section 9.14. If the MG was registered on a Form 10, subsequently transfered out of the agency which registered it on a Form 10 before ATF ruling 74-8 to effect, it is transferable.

My understanding is the reason fingerprints are required for every paper submission is it serves to ID a person not in front of you. Fingerprints are unique to each individual, even identical twins have differing fingerprints but identical DNA.
It is harder to get good impressions on older people especially diabetics. A set of fingerprints taken previously may actually be better than a "newer" set.
