  1. I watched the video on barrel removal and replacement. The tools used looked huge for the job they do. What kind of breakaway torque would one expect removing the barrel on a Kahr? I've removed and replaced the barrel on Garands with homemade tools without a lot of trouble. Thanks Paul Salome, AZ.
  2. I attached an image of my paper clip disassembly aid. As for spoiling a "collectable". This is a Kahr 1927 A1. I
  3. It's too early to tell it the button will turn so the holes don't line up. I ordered an extra button and spring if further experimentation is needed. If the button turns so the holes don't line up, I could thread the hole for a small set screw. I'll snap some pics in a day or so and post them.
  4. I really disliked having to hold the little button down with a small screwdriver when removing the trigger assembly. I drilled a paperclip sized hole in the rear of the receiver into the takedown button while I was holding it down. Now I push the button down and stick a paper clip into the hole and the button stays down while removing the trigger assembly. The small hole is unnoticeable.
  5. Are the butt stock dimensions for the semi-auto guns the same as the full autos. In other words would a trap door buttplate fit a Kahr ? If so, it would be a real good place to store the "third hand" in.
  6. I'm an old guy and am finding that my 1927 A1 seems much heavier than the one I owned 30 years ago. Can anyone suggest a tactical sling that works well with the semi-auto carbine? Thanks Paul Salome, AZ
  7. I'm thinking about doing a SBR conversion on a1927 A1. Can anyone tell how long the process is taking? I'd hate to die of old age halfway through. Thanks
  8. I just ordered a reduced spring kit. Their credit card processor will no longer accept your credit card. You have to call it in. They've been dumped from CC processing on their Web site because they deal in fire arms. I guess we'll see more and more of this crap. The upside it that the company is great to deal with by phone.
  9. My 1927A1 logo states Worchester, Mass with a serial number of KN21XX. Is it a Hurley or Kahr? Thanks Paul Salome, AZ.
  10. Hi All: I'm a new guy. I just purchased a 1927A1. This is the second one I've owned. I had another in the early 90's. I'm a military retiree and also retired from industry. Paul Salome, AZ.
