  1. I thought I already posted this, but I don't see it here on the board. ..anyhow... the preordered books all have been shipped! Thanks to all who paid in advance and waited patiently. I filled all the orders and several dealers orders, and now I am temporarly out of AT/II books. I ordered more and they will be here next Friday. Frank
  2. Finally, AT/II Books were shipped today! Thanks to all who ordered for your patience! Frank
  3. Neatness? As far as writing or printing by hand, I can only be described as sloppy...My son Nick on the other hand has great hand writing. (perhaps it was that darn mailman)
  4. Do to a problem at the printer the books have been delayed. The publisher had originally planned to have them 12/1/04 in time for the SAR show in AZ. Then we thought that we would have them in time for Christmas, not... The good news is that I have received an advance copy via UPS Next Day Air, so the rest should be coming UPS ground from NV any day now. I will ship the same day they are received. The book came out pretty good, and is the size of a phone book! Regards! and thanks for being patient. Frank Iannamico
  5. Happy Holidays everyone! Bad news on American Thunder II. The book was originally supposed to be printed 12/1, then was delayed for two weeks until printing problems could be solved. Now instead of delivering the printed books, the printer sent the publisher another blue line proof copy! I was hoping to get these out to all of you in time for Christmas, but I don't think that is going to happen. It now looks like early January. On a positive note...the book is much bigger and better than the 1st edition. I reshot many of the photos and added a lot of WWII, Korea and Vietnam era photos, most never published before. Also added is new info, new chapters and more. Best regards! Frank
  6. I need to photograph an M14/M1A Magazine that has a AV marking on the back. I will buy, borrow, trade (no Thompsons) let me know if you have one. Thanks and Happy Holidays! Frank f.iannamico@comcast.net
  7. The 2nd edition is a second printing of the original book. However it has been expanded from 293 to 536 pages and includes new chapters, new info, new photographs. Most of the original pages have had new photos and text added. It is not an addedum to the original book. Regards! Frank
  8. The mags that are painted with a green paint are rebuilds. All original mags had a blue finish.
  9. I was at the National Archives last week and met two guys who were doing research for WWII movie projects. They were copying photographs to authenticate the scenery, equipment, conditions etc during the war. One guy was from NY and was involved in a 5 part PBS documentry series about WWII in Europe. The other guy was British and worked for the BBC although he said the movie was being financed by someone else. He wouldn't say what the movie was about, but judging by the photos he had I would guess the Battle of the Bulge. Both set for release in 2006.
  10. Hello Chuck, Please send me an email I need some info from you. Frank
  11. I have had a few inquires about American Thunder II at the Phoenix SAR show in December. Yes, Dan Shea will be selling them at the show. I will not be at the show, I have to work. (yes I have a real job) Regards! Frank
  12. The book American Thunder II SHOULD be ready the first week of December. It is at the printers now. (Just in time for Christmas)
  13. American Thunder II is an expanded second edition, there is new information, and a lot of new photos including a large number of WWII and other vintage pics (most unpublished). The first edition had 293 pages this edition has 536 or so pages. There are now 17 Chapters. Regards! Frank
  14. I have obtained a number of UD42 (United Defense M42 submachine gun) magazines, all are 20-round. These are in varying condition, but no dings or dents, most look unused but these have been in storage for over 40 years and some have surface rust, some don't. I have priced them between $45.00 for the least best to $90 for the best ones. Email me if you are interested... f.iannamico@comcast.net
  15. I recently obtained a Seymour drum, but it has a Bridgeport cover. The B/P cover has no rust or dings is 85/90%. would like to swap for a SEYMOUR cover in comparable condition, must be BLUED not flat black like the Bridgeport covers. Will also buy outright if no trade is needed. Thanks! Frank F.IANNAMICO@COMCAST.NET
  16. FYI... Gordon Ingram passed away 11/4/04. He was best known for designing the MAC series of submachine guns.
  17. There is a lot of info on the WH guns, drums and accessories in my new book United States Submachine Guns. Also reproduced in the book are the actual 1994 letters I received from A-O West Hurley with the serial number ranges, dates and info on the 1928 and M1 Thompsons. The book is 500 pages and only $29.95! Available from this site under BOOKS Frank
  18. Tuesday October 5 th is the last day that you can register to vote. If you are not registered you cannot vote. Remember how CLOSE it was last time. Your vote counts and it is important. If Kerry is elected it will be like the Clinton years all over again: Bans stopping of imports etc, etc. Vote early and vote often...
  19. Someone had like new M1 kits for sale please email me thx f.iannamico@comcast.net
  20. My .02 On the Colt era boxes the lid and the bottom of the box are the same size (width). On the box shown on ebay the lid is smaller than the bottom portion of the box. It was great to see everyone at the TCA shoot! Thanks? for the beer(s). Frank I.
  21. Ron, I am interested in obtaining an M1 parts set from you. Need contact info, price etc. Regards! Frank Iannamico f.iannamico@comcast.net

  23. Greetings, I am in need of a few good pictures of the serial number: A.O. 1XXXXX and US 1928 A1 markings, from an original A.O. WWII Thompson, (not a Savage mfg). I also need some of a NAC serial numbered gun. The pictures must have a white background and be 35 mm or if taken with a digital camera it must be 4 megapixel or higher. For more info please email me at; f.iannamico@comcast.net Thanks!
  24. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO MY THOMPSON COLLECTOR FRIENDS: I will not be attending the TCA shoot and dinner this August. I thought sure I would be able to make it. Tracie Hill has informed me that I registered too late. He informed me there are no exceptions. He also informed me that there will be no walk-ins, so I would be turned away at the door if I showed up. Tracie has done a lot for the TCA and Thompson collecting in general. This is his show so we must abide by his rules. This is not the end of the world. I look forward to seeing all of you at the big SAR show in Phoenix, Arizona in early December this year. I will have two tables of Thompson things. Kind regards Gordon Herigstad
  25. ATTENTION Thompson Collectors. This is a notice for another NEW product from Gordon’s Thompson Accessories. I have now reproduced the original pull-through thong, bore brush for the Thompson. (This is the little brass T handle, with special string 16” long, and bore brush) This is an essential part of the original equipment from the little Spare Parts Box for the Thompson machine gun. This rare piece is made in the finest tradition, using real horse hair, as was the original from the early Thirties. I will return to Los Angeles on July 1st. I will be marketing these pieces after July 4th. The price each will be $35.00. Check or MO to: Gordon Herigstad 1632 W. 10th Street San Pedro, California 90732 310-8319339 Gordoncolt@aol.com NOTE: The little Chamber Brush, with the bent handle, which accompanies the Bore Brush, will also be available after July 15. This will be the early style, which is also made with horse hair, not the WW2 style made during the War. This will also be $35.00, when it is available.
