  1. Unfortunately that's the culture of America today. These people don't give a rat's ass about us (the end user). They only care about the bottom line and lining their pockets.
  2. Dogman217, Thank you for this very clear and concise information. I believe, following your instructions, that I will be able to rectify the existing situation. As soon as I get this completed, I will follow up and let you know the results. It's going to take a couple of days (many irons in the fire), but will try this. Again, Thank You for this information!
  3. So I'm also new to the forum as well to the Thompson 1927A1. I have learned how to field strip and clean the weapon with great sucess. I held the trigger as mentioned, heard a very slight grinding noise and the bolt did in fact hold halfway back as stated above. I'm think the disconnect is located in the trigger group but I am hesitant to tear this apart due to inexperience. What is the best way to remove some of the metal that is grinding on the bottom of the bolt? Can I leave the trigger group together? Thanks for any information that can be provided!
  4. That is amazing! I would love to just walk through and see the history of these!
  5. Finally got my 50rd drum mag working on a consistent basis. I had dropped it when I first got it and didn't think anything about it. There was a slight dimple that was causing the rounds to stick. Bent the mag and dimple out, reshaped the mag, and now it runs like a swiss watch. That gave me hell for about a week trying to figure it out!
  6. One way or another, I will get this drum magazine working so that I can depend on it, if necessary. I have polished the feed ramp, the bolt some the the trigger parts already.
  7. Greetings All! New to the forum here but just got my hands on a AO Thompson 1927A1 Mfg date 9/14/2021. I'm so excited! I have wanting one of these for 40 years now. I'm in the twilight of my life and my friends saw it fitting to gift this weapon to me last Saturday. I'll have lot's of questions for you guys! The only thing that I don't like about this weapon is the 50rd drum mag. I just jams and is a real pain in the ass! However, I have (3) 30rd sticks and (1) 20rd stick that runs flawlessly. Here are some pictures:
