  1. That's a Swedish m/37-39. Originally, the Swedes wanted their SMGs in 9mm Browning Long, since that was the same ammo as their m/07 pistols. After toying with it for a couple years, they changed their mind and went with the more powerful 9mm Luger.
  2. I knew a guy who was selling reproduction Enfield wood stocks he was making so he could pay for meds during cancer treatment. He had over 5k in the paypal account and they kept it all. How's that for be a scumbag asshole.
  3. Please keep us updated on this. I might have to just buy instead of build and sell my kit stuff.
  4. I'd be really interested in a semi auto built like this.
  5. From what I've been told by my buddy in Sweden, these were aftermarket covers produced for SMG shooting competitions. The m/45 is the only MG that's allowed to be owned by civilians.
  6. What would you modify on the drums to make them sit right? Grind some meat off the metal shell?
  7. The odd things that stand out to me is that it's marked M/78, no presence of British proofs, no rear facing round count holes. I don't know STENs very well. Just seems to not say British to me.
  8. Curious what everyone thinks this magazine is. Some say STEN. Some say it’s not. Only markings are M/78 and the FLL marked floor plate. What do you guys think?
  9. While browsing the Swiss archives, I found the fabrication drawings for every part of the Swiss MP43/44, which was a licensed copy and adaption of the Finnish Kp31 SMG. They were high resolution scans. So the details are top notch. I started doing some modeling and so far, this is what I’ve been able to get done so far. I will reproduce the whole thing. The motivation for doing so, is that I have a few Finnish Kp31 kits. I also have a Swedish M37-39 kit; which was a licensed copy and adaption. They made their own changes to it, as did the Swiss. I will have the geometry of the trigger pack modeled and then I’ll be able to come up with my own semi-auto trigger design and be able to use it in the three variations.
  10. I wasn't aware that someone made reproductions. Thanks for the link.
  11. Has anyone ever encountered worn out magazine springs or missing floor plates for their coffins? I was digging through some archival drawings and found some original production drawings for the coffin mags. Was thinking of maybe finding someone who might be able to manufacture new springs or other parts.
  12. It’s probably one of the reasons the original Swedish setup bleeds the gases off so quickly right after the chamber.
  13. In 1951, it was one of 331 that were left of the original 995 given to the Finns by the Swedes.
  14. I need some of that Swedish ammo for a display. I'd like to get a box of the practice and box of regular.
  15. Ended up getting a better photo of one today. I didn’t think they were military issue. I recall seeing them now after you guys said it.
  16. Has anyone ever seen a front sight cover for the m/45? The two cylinders at the bottom of the pic
  17. Finnish Made Tikkakoski Oy, most often shortened to Tikka, is on the left. Unmarked on the right. You’ll sometimes see them with the boxed SA marking. And also marked with the serial number of the Kp31 SMG they were issued with. Swedish Made Carl Gustafs - crown laid flat Pressbol Eskilstuna - marked as such vertically along the right side. Subcontracted to produce them for Husqvarna. Husqvarna acceptance mark (tilted crown) on the left. Carl Gustafs - marked with a single, upright crown on the left and also a crown over the letter C on the right. Husqvarna - marked with the tilted crown on the right rear corner. Cebe - marked as such vertically along the right side. Subcontracted to produce them for Husqvarna. Cebe was a light fixture making company based in Sweden that started in the 1890s making lights and light fixtures. One would assume the gained a lot of experience with working with pressing sheet metal. Husqvarna acceptance mark (tilted crown) on the left. Not pictured - going from memory. There was a subcontractor, whom I haven’t been able to identify, that had a marking that was the capital letter J inside a shape. Shapes I have seen were: J in a square, J in a circle, J in a triangle
