Thanks for all the congrats. I've noticed a lack of interest and softening prices at various auctions lately. My max bid was $17100. I thought that I might just outbid someone who was thinking along the same line as me. I have to admit I was surprised (and pleased) to get it at this price.

I just found out today I was the winning bidder on this Thompson. I just wanted to let everyone know the gun went to a Thompson collector.

I haven't seen a C & R BAR for under 30K for awhile. Last year at the SAR show I passed on one for 21 and i've been kicking myself ever since. Group BAR's are going for 16-20 over the last several months.

Walter, it is an original Colt C drum with mismatched serial numbers. Are C drums often available for sale at the larger shows such as the SAR show?

I have the chance to buy a C drum for about $3800. The front has some pitting and the back is speckled with light pitting. I'm planning to go to the SAR show in Phoenix in December.
