    Yes, a pioneer of the time. I'm still using his 1980's core update kit in a Ingram M10 suppressor. Simple to disassemble and clean.

    It might be the rear take down detent pin sticking out too far and catching on the trigger group? Maybe slide a feeler gage under it to lift it out of the way.

    The earlier covers were held in place with 2 screws. You could switch to that style cover.
