  2. Making of "Public Enemy" with Jimmy Cagney. Several of Cagney's gangster movies involved him being actually shot at with real bullets.
  3. I just heard of this from this source,. http://www.guns.com/2017/05/31/st-louis-police-pull-trigger-on-tommy-gun-sale-as-part-of-1-2-million-deal/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_content=592ec7b204d301202d0db7fc&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook
  4. I know this is not Thompson related but there is no FG42 page. If you want to you can move it to where you think it would belong. I just thought it was wildly interesting...and crazy. I doesn't even function..... Sold at the April James D Julia auction $195,500 So you thought the previous second model FG-42 was expensive? Behold the first model FG-42 at #4 of the most expensive guns sold in James D. Julia auction. You can see the distinctive angled pistol grip of the first model FG-42. This particular gun is also valuable because it has a very low serial number – 190. It is, however, a deactivated gun. It has a plugged chamber. If the chamber plug is carefully removed and if it appears that the chamber is still intact, then this gun can possibly be converted back to a fully functional firearm.
  5. Motorcycle cop using Army training. Found this one today.
  6. GIs of the 413th Infantry Regiment, 104th Infantry Division "Timberwolves", resting on the rail track after combat in Düren, a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. 21 December 1944. During the Battle of the Bulge, the 104th actively defended its sector near Düren and Merken from 15 December to 22 February 1945. Colorized version:
  7. If you have some cash to spare and want to get the party started in style, the Champagne Gun is here for you. Because what is a party if it doesn’t involve a Champagne-filled Super Soaker? Invented by French company Extra-Night, the Champagne Gun holds a magnum of bubbly and will shoot a 16- to 23-foot spray for up to 45 seconds. The showy gizmo costs $459 a pop—Champagne not included—and comes in chrome, gold and rose-gold finishes to match any party outfit. http://www.extra-night.com/
  8. This might be the same one that Lois is holding. It's from 1943's Aerial Gunner. Pretty bad.
  9. Still from The Rat Patrol. One of the rentals got a broken forearm......
  10. Is this a real period photo or a still from Public Enemies? The caption says it's real.
  11. For some reason I think I have seen this gun on this forum before.....
