  1. I sent my M1 off to PK a few years ago. It came back looking (and working) like a piece of art. I can tell you it sure didn't look that way, nor work that way, when I sent it to him. PK is a Thompson guru. Further, I don't see any problems with the listed ad. YMMV
  2. Title about says it all. Any word from ATF legal on whether they are going to reissue their "all Tommies are C&R" letter anytime?
  3. I guess rereading my post, I wasn't clear. I don't reload. I want to know if I buy loaded RN lead ammo is if will work in my M1.
  4. I haven't gotten around to reloading yet, but with the price of ammo, I'm guessing a Dillon is in my future. That said, I've found some good prices for RN lead 45. I've only ever shot FMJ 230 grain, and wonder if some of your RKI's, could opine on whether I should buy the RN Lead for plinking ammo? I hate to buy more than a case the first time, until I know whether it'll work ok. Thanks in advance.
  5. Nobody should ever deal with SG. They suck! I ordered some ammo, and paid the membership fee. They cancelled the ammo, and wouldn't give me back my membership fee. I called the credit card company, and they did a charge back to SG. If everyone did that that got screwed, they have to pay insane rates to process a credit card purchase. SG sucks.
  6. I'm just curious if anyone has heard on this yet? It's been what? 18 months since they approved the WH (and all TSMG's) as C&R, then revoked it. I've got a reweld Savage that I'd love to be C&R just to save on the yearly ATF out of state forms.
  7. All I know about him, is what I see posted on Bowers and Sturmgewehr. I think PhilOhio has it about right. His prices are far too high, compared to the real market. I also believe that he is banned at Bowers Board for some reason that I won't elaborate on. Add that to Philasteen's comment, and I'd want to research the deal really close before I did that deal. Just my .02
  8. They don't care. They (NRA) tried to derail the recent Parker lawsuit in DC, for goodness sakes. They are a useful lobby group, due to their size, but they don't have our (NFA) best interests at heart. Disclaimer, I am a NRA member.
  9. I recently bought some Eastern European ball from Wideners (Don't recall the brand, it was new non-corrosive). It was packaged in 50 round boxes and shoots great out of my M1 and 1911's. It was a great price, but you'll have to look it up to see if the price went up in the last month.
  10. I really doubt the BillAtlanta story. Unless it occurred many many years ago. I have some knowledge of federal prosecutions and investigations (FLEO), and as stated above, I can't imagine a criminal referral on the circumstances as stated above. This would be an abandonment.
  11. Dr Dave, As everyone above stated, it can be any , part , or all of 7 parts, it just depends on what was registered originally on the Fm 1 or Fm 2. Wildwilly had the disconnect, others may have the trip, or sear, etc. If you are looking at buying an M2 gun, you simply need to check the data listed on the Fm 3/4 and it will tell you which part(s) are registered. Hope this helps
  12. You'll get different answers, as ATF allowed many different components to be the registered part, as long as they were a part of the trigger group. There is no ONE answer, it can be a combination of any, all or part of the group. HTH
  13. The letter was initially signed about 12 Jan 2006 by ATF with the C&R designation. It's now about 1 Nov 2006. In a couple months it'll be a year. Anybody have any intel? What's going on in FTB?
