  1. That's what I was afraid of. When tucking in hard to the shoulder it will collapse if not pulled perfectly straight back. Thanks for the info.
  2. The stock came from Sarco so I will gaive Dave at call. Thanks.
  3. Pity my ignorance but I bought a repro M1A1 folder a few years ago . It seems well made but the stock does not have a way of locking in the open position. Were they held open by friction alone or am I missing a secret locking mechanism? Thanks for your time and trouble.
  4. The leather mag pouch shown looks suspiciously like the pouch that came with my M45 Gustav or Swedish K. It was a cool pouch that held 8 mags, the clip on night sights, and cleaning kit. I never tried it with Thompson mags. The K mags are 36 round so a Thompson mag might fit.
  5. I just discovered that my email on this site isn't current and for now it won't let me change it to the correct one. Please use the email above minus the deletespam. Thanks.
  6. I bought an excellent condition R Guns 1928 kit to obtain an extra lower and buttstock to send off to PK for my gun. I would like to sell the remaining parts: 1. Finned barrel with Cutts, forearm mount, still in cut frame front section 2. Complete bolt assembly, extractor, Blish lock, checkered cocking knob, spring, buffer, guide 3. Stamped "L" type non adjustable rear sight marked Lyman 4. Ejector $300.00 shipped USPS Priority Mail. I prefer USPS money orders for payment. Email akviperdeletespam@gci.net if you have any questions. Thanks for looking. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i86/akviper/100_1000.jpg
  7. This has probably been covered before, but I was visiting with a WW II/Korea era veteran armorer. He told me that the M1A1 and 1928 lower receivers were interchangable and that he used to swap them to allow the M1A1 to have a removable buttstock. Since I only have a M1A1 and my buddy with the 1928 moved away I have no way to check this out. I have looked on the FAQ and other sources but cannot confirm or disprove this. Will a 1928 lower with the removable stock work on my M1A1? Thanks for your time and trouble
  8. My beautiful wife found a S & W Model 27 made in 1953. I'm waiting for better weather to try it out. Happy New Year.
