  1. I was in the Fort Lewis Military Museum a couple of months ago and snapped it.
  2. Wow, that is a design flaw. Someone should make them out of a stronger material.
  3. After firing a couple hundred rounds of that crappy Pat's Reloading 9mm ammo, I inspected the firing pin and it is slightly bent over. I know the primers on this stuff is supposedly hard, but to bend the firing pin?!? What do you guys think it is, a poor quality firing pin, hard primers or a combination of the two?
  4. Mine has a type I compensator(no markings on it). I emailed PK and he says he's done it before but you can't just thread an M1/M1A1 type sight. I'm assuming he meant that the sight has to be made from scratch. I asked him but have not heard back yet.
  5. No, too expensive. I wonder if I could just get a M1/M1A1 sight threaded and nicely blued. I wonder if the threads would be noticable?
  6. Is the front sight on a Colt 1921a threaded on or pressed and pinned? I want to take the compensator off of my 21AC and put on a 21A sight.
  7. Thanks for responding. Apparently you no longer own the M3. Do you happen to remember the serial no. It looks like 186x47 but I can't be sure. Do you remember if it had any British proofs? Its painted black , right? This makes the 6th M3 altered in this manner, that I've found, since I bought my M3 in Sept. I think 4 of them had British marks. My M3 is painted black , but I didn' t notice any Brit proofs. Hope to get the form 4 back soon so i can have another look. I'm begining to think this mag guard alteration was a British job. Thanks again, Jim C I'll have to check my Bound Book, it is fully transferable and I sold it a couple of years ago. Yes, it had british proof marks and it was black painted. I think it was Jerry Prasser of Recon Ordnance that told me M3 Grease Guns that were modified in this way were supposedly purchased by the CIA from a major importer of machine guns back in the 50's and were meant to be used in the Bay of Pigs invasion but for whatever reason weren't. I don't know where the story originated but it's entertaining.
  8. http://i9.tinypic.com/6pu5vlj.jpghttp://i7.tinypic.com/7xb8h3n.jpghttp://i9.tinypic.com/6ku7ng6.jpgI had one like that too. I was told it served as a mag release button guard.
  9. Cool video! I hope that was all brass cased 7.62x39 in the AK47! What am I thinking, of course it was brass! The AK47 would have blown up if it was steel!
  10. I love the steel stuff and so does my Grease Guns and my Thompsons and my Colt M16A2 and my Steyr AUGA2 and my AC556 and my M-53 and even my G18C's! Romanian 8mm runs great in my 1919A4 as well. When someone is so proud that they refuse to admit they're "over their head" on an issue and start changing what EVERYONE knows the meaning of "throat erosion" well, they just come across as silly and uncredible! http://tinypic.com/4vs5ft0.jpg
  11. No returns. As you can see, the box is in perfect condition so I wouldn't think the drum would be damaged in anyway. If you want me to open it first I will, once your money arrives. http://i18.tinypic.com/6azeg45.jpg
  12. This is brand new in an unopened box. I've got one for my Colt '21 and love it! Best price I've seen lately, only $550 shipped CONUS
  13. Yes, as a matter of fact I do. Just this last saturday my youngest son(5yrs. old) spilled his first blood. Sniff....... kind of bring a tear of joy to my eye. The close-up shot shows the killer instinct on his face and look at how he's got a hold of it's neck, that bird isn't getting anymore air in it's lungs! http://i9.tinypic.com/67g31ae.jpg http://i6.tinypic.com/4z3exsj.jpg
  14. QUOTE (Bob @ Aug 31 2007, 07:33 PM)Here are a few of a nice Colt for it's age http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/1052/dsc0764xd2.jpg http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/6492/dsc0765jj2.jpg http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/2670/dsc0768oy5.jpg http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/1167/dsc0770ps3.jpg http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/9158/dsc0781ge8.jpg http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/642/dsc0787id9.jpg http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/3573/dsc0788tw9.jpg http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/7181/magwellrw2.jpg http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/8048/patdateut4.jpg http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/6970/rearxf0.jpg http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/7725/selectorsmo3.jpg http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/762/witmarkae0.jpg WHOA!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif That's one nice looking Navy Bob! How much did that piece of Americana set you back? Knowing you, probably not as much as it should have since you are one of those sleazy machine gun dealer's that "steals" those Thompsons' from poor uneducated law enforcement agencies! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Did you get that one from the same agency that sold you the Form 10 Colt '27 that you stripped and chopped for parts?

  18. QUOTE (hardrede @ Apr 25 2007, 10:25 AM) FWIW, do you mean that someone was trying to find out Jim's source??? Of course that would be inappropriate, he is a dealer trying to make money, not give away product. I read the question as to where does a potential customer contact Jim, not trying to undercut him. Oh well, Ron, do what ya can, huh??? I wish Jim all the best in selling his product. Maybe an "advertisement" would have been better??? I do not know. But with people scratching a Camillus knife and calling it "Hollywood" on here, I have to wonder. If I offended you Jim, I apologize. If I was wrong in my interpretation of your advertisement, I also again apologize. Maybe just post your email address with the advertisement for those that are newer here?? FWIW, I only intentionally offend one person on this board. I'm not offended. I forgot to put the "WTS" at the begining of my ad, my mistake. All the drums I've ordered so far have been spoken for and inquiries have seemed to slow down so I don't plan on ordering anymore. If I had 5 or 6 people saying they'd take at least one each, I would probably order more. Anyone interested, email me and if I get 5 or 6 people that say they want one, I'll get some more. cascadearmory@yahoo.com
  19. I've got two or three that aren't spoken for. In the video, the Thompson used is an original Colt model 1921(with original bolt assembly). I didn't have much ammo laying around so about half the rounds are Russian wolf 230gr., PMC 230gr. and 9 Remington 185gr. hollow points. I had one stoppage that is seen in the video, the bolt ran home on an empty chamber. This drum has not been worked on or tweaked in any way. It is fresh out of the box from my distributor. $575 shipped. Watch the video http://media.putfile.com/Colt-Thompson-100...round-Kahr-drum
  20. Turns out I can get a couple more so I ordered them. I need to bump the price up to $575 shipped though.
  21. I guess I forgot the "WTS" in my ad. I was going to try and get $600 each but decided to drop the price to get them to move. Anyways, they've all been spoken for. Next week I'm going to see if I can get more.
  22. QUOTE (toolman @ Apr 14 2007, 09:05 AM) That sounds just like jim is saying I WANT TO KEEP ALL THESE DRUMS!! I want to sell drums, not hoard them. Why would I give up my source for 100 round drums that I can get at a decent price? No, I haven't tried these yet because they won't be in till next week. I dropped my price from $600 'cuz I don't want to sit on merchandise, I want to sell merchandise.
  23. Why should I tell you where I get these drums? I'm a dealer and I don't want other dealers cleaning out my source.
