  1. There have been several posts recently regarding COLT Parts and values. Want to try and circle the wagons a bit. From what I have seen COLT Parts do not normally come up often and when they do they don't stay around long. I have as complete of a set as I have seen, got it from COLT Chopper. He got it from the PD. For aguments sake, the complete parts kit should be worth around 10 -12K depending on who wants it. I have never really seen how adding up the parts get to this number. Let's take a stab at it. One recent "good" comment I saw was when you have the entire parts kit, then the provenence of the barrel isn't in dispute. What would be the price range for these parts individually" 1- Rear stock complete with all metal 1a -- buttplate with screws (no wood) 1b -- Stock locking assembly complete with screws (no wood) 2 - Rear pistol grip with screw 3 - Vertical foregrip with screw 4 - Barrel with ring sight and cross pin 5 -1921 COLT Actuator (keyhole ears light actuator) 6 - COLT BOLT complete 7 - Colt unmarked blish lock 8 - 1921 two piece spring / buffer guide with spring 9 - Entire lower assembly with wood grip 10 - stripped lower assembly This is for establishing bookends of COLT values as of DEC 2017. My parts kit isn't for sale (at this time). Cheers Sandman1957
  2. A distinquished Gentleman was referred to me to assist in purchasing a Colt Thompson. He is 70, has the ability to purchase and is not interesting in waiting a long time and dealing with potential scammers. He understands the sticker shock, the NFA time out box, and is ready to join as a fellow collector. I am reviewing current listings, and have sent PMs, emails to some individuals. If anyone has a Colt Thompson they are ready to sell, or has leads on one please PM me. He is interested in a 80 percent gun or better. Preferably all original. Order of interest 1921A, 1921AC, 28 Navy Overstamp. Overall condition will likely be the distinquishing factor between the models. Photos of potential guns with descriptions would be step one, very likely him inspecting the gun step two, followed by payment likely on the spot, with NFA paperwork following. He is a VA resident, limited access to computers etc. If you know of something please let me know. Thanks in advance Sandman1957
  3. I am assisting Warren Kreiser 's widow with the disposition of his Thompson related collection. With David Albert's permission, I am posting items on this forum before seeking other buyers. Warren had 3 Colt's remaining at the time of his passing. Two have sold. This ad is for the remaining Colt. Warren had this gun presentation engraved to commemorate, among other things, the Bloddy Williamson Massacre. All parts are Colt, excpet the buttstock and hardware. I am having trouble determining a reasonable asking price for this gun. so, If interested and you want to make an offer, please email me at Dlansky@dickinsonwright.com. thank you for looking.
