I'm looking for the parts that attach to the magazine housing on a Sten Mk 2 or 5. Sarco, Apex, and Numrich are all showing out of stock. Any recommendations? Magazine Catch Assembly & the plunger assembly

Hello everyone! I spent a little time making small statistics from the data that I could find in various sources. This is not a direct comparison of better / worse, no, just a few numbers. I also plan to make comparisons with other SMGs. If anyone has additions or comments, write.

I just received an Austen that wouldnt run. Light strikes.Bolt would close without detonating. Tried many kinds of ammo including federal which is known for softer primers. Solution: I took a sten spring, cut 3 inches and added it onto the captured recoil spring assembly. It runs 100% now. Question: Can that recoil spring assembly be disassembled and a new spring added? 2. Are any of the sten barrels compatible? It has a cut for indexing

To all those magazine hacks out there. Just a comparison here showing the soldered witness holes on a 20 round Thompson stick mag (Maguire Era incorrect patent dated) and a 32 round Sten Gun mag (Stamped 1.C.R.1) Note an identical version of a 32 round Sten mag that hasn't been soldered. It's a fair assumption that both these soldered magazines were used in the North African WW2 campaign as the soldered witness holes were engineered in order to keep the sand out the mags which caused jams. Also note the difference in magazine length of the Lanchester 50 round mag,Sten Gun 32 Round mag,Thompson 30 round mag & the Thompson 20 round mag. Thanks for reading. JD.

I acquired this barrel and was told it fits a Sten, but they didn't know which version. Which version does the barrel fit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking in.

Greetings. I'm new here and I have some doubts about a Sten I own for some time. She has the name and the serial number placed in the magazine wall, but in a way different from all I've seen so far. The model is marked "STEN MK 2" instead "STEN MK II" and the serial number is C.B.16X. I've never seen one that wasn't marked with Roman numbers She has a proof mark on the bolt that seems to be Belgian, as well as some scattered marks in other places that seem to be Belgians also. If anyone can help me identify it, it will be much appreciated I have attached some pictures for easy identification Thanks
