I am getting a second Police Ordnance M6 SMG and as soon as my tax stamp is approved with my C&R License, I will get it sent directly to me. These SMGs are extremely hard to find these days. After I get this one, my collecting of MGs will be over. Two is enough for me.

Well it has been over one year waiting for the tax stamp and finally ATF passed me. I picked up my M6 about 2 hours ago. Is there any suggestions that anyone can give me before I start shooting it? Any tips on cleaning it etc will be appreciated. Thanks Tom

Ruger AC556, UZI, M11, or? Anyone in this group have an extra sub or machine gun that you may be willing to sell me? I think there are many cons out there advertising items they don't have and wanting to cheat people out of their money. Just thought I would put it out. My budget is between 9K up to 14K. Thanks Tom

Wow today I shot my M6 with my wife and a good friend. Amazing SMG. It is so accurate, and built so well. What a pleasure and a ton of fun! I love my M6. I go up our mountain to a meadow and just shoot. This really is a fantastic Submachine Gun. 5 full Mags and no jams! Thanks everyone for all your help.

Okay I just got some 45 ammo in and waiting for that darn tax stamp so I can get my M6 from the FFL store. Does standard 45 ammo work with this SMG. Some know it all friend of mine said that maybe gun ammo will not function properly with my M6. Please let me know. Thanks tom

Hello Everyone. my name is Tom and I am new to this group. I'm the guy that just won the M6 at the Poulin Auction that ended the other day. I have been researching these SMG's for a while now and when I saw it up for auction, I thought I would bid on it. I see that they seem too be getting more expensive over the years, so I thought I would not wait to find that perfect time capsule M6 and try to get this one. Now the long process of applying for the tax stamp once it is shipped to my local store, but I am glad that I got it and one day will be able to practice with it in my back yard. I live in Southern Oregon on 40 acres of mountain and forest which makes it nice for shooting. That thought I would say hi to you all. Thanks Tom

Hey everyone, My great uncle (US Navy and police officer) left behind a mutt of an Ingram M6. It appears to be a military style since it has the ring for the strap on the stock, the smooth barrel as opposed to the finned barrel, but it has a hybrid forearm grip, it looks like a combination of both military and police models. On the base of the barrel it reads: Ingram Patents Pending, Police Ordinance Company, Los Angeles California, M6 Millitary, 1128. I will add some pictures so you can see what I mean by its similarities to both designs. Just trying to gather info. From the looks of it either the base of the barrel was sealed up on purpose or thats a few lead rounds that mushroomed together and got jammed before the rifiling starts. ---- The story my Great Aunt tells goes: My great uncle bought it off a guy who ended up getting arrested for selling to (Cubans?) when my uncle took the gun to get fixed (not sure what he was fixing or if this is why the forearm/grip is different) he was driving on the parkway with it on his back seat, The toll collector saw it and radioed ahead, when he got off the parkway he was then arrested since he forgot all of his papers and id's at home. All his buddies at the station laughed at him that following Monday for getting temporarily arrested untill he proved he was a cop.--- He may have been going to get the squib load jammed in the barrel fixed but never bothered after this ordeal and it's been in his attic since 1981? well, as far as I know I wasn't around till '85 -- Pardon any error in terminology as I only recently aquired my FFL and I am brand new to shooting and collecting. Thanks guys

Hey everyone, I posted yesterday in the Ingram M6 forum, and everyone's being alot of help, just wanted to throw this question out to a broader group in case one of you may have some extra insight. My great uncle passed away in '91 and recently while cleaning my great aunts attic out I came across his .38 special service revolver and an Ingram M6 military with modified police grip (been up there since '81 she thinks?). He was Navy WWII and local police afterwards. She gave me both since I had JUST aquired my FFL and purchased my first .22 (the M6 has been deactivated/disabled with some sort of block in the base of the barrel). If I can't find his paperwork, Is there any other way to go about registering it or digging in to records so I can bring this gun back to life and get it unblocked, as a family/inheritance/transfer. I'd hate to see it just hang on the wall or end up back in an attic. Thanks everyone, So far you've all been a great help to this newbie. ------ I believe emmagee1917 just answered my main question to the T in my other post, of course any other random info is appreciated, thanks again everyone! -----
