Hello everyone. I am looking for some guidance. 15 years ago I was given a demilled MP40. It had been in the Cabela’s corporate office displayed in a VP’s office. HR came in and told him that it needed to go and it found its way home with me. Since then it has stayed in my gun safe getting shown off to other gun guys in my circle. While I think it’s cool it’s not my style of gun. Recently I saw a video (mattexplodesstuff) on Instagram of him shooting his new to him mp40. He mentioned the mags were expensive. This put me down a rabbit hole of understanding what value I had with my mp40. It seems like these parts are pricey. I looked around gunbroker and didn’t see any parts really changing hands. The further searches led me here. My questions: Is there anyway to make it shootable legally? Maybe in a semi auto with SBR classification. I won’t be getting an SOT anytime soon Is there a need for good conditioned parts? Outside of the barrel (the rifling is in good condition) and front site having matching numbers the rest of the gun is not. Anyone in need of a display piece? I would be more happy getting it to someone who would appreciate it and freeing up cash something else.

Good afternoon everyone, new member here. My apologies if this post doesn't fit the theme, however I have been scouring the interwebs for awhile now and seen the occasional complete MP40 parts kit come up on GB for mucho dollars and unfortunately missed the more affordable kits available from 1944 earlier this year. Does anyone have a complete lower frame for sale i.e. bakelite, stock, cup, trigger group, disassembly axle, etc.? I've seen parts available to putting them together piece meal, but the cost for a complete original versus piece meal with repro parts seem about equal. Thank you for any help! Again, my apologies if this is improper.
