Barry
I just picked up a sten MKII that was regestered in 1957. The gun has ENGLAND marked on its left side where the stock meets the triger housing. I would think this is an export mark but I do not find a double arrow to show that it was no longer British Gov. property. This gun is in the Q12000 serial range. Thanks for any help. Mk VII
after WW2 it is more the exception than the rule to find the double arrow mark on sold-off British arms. The sheer quantities involved made it impracticable to try. The origin of the Q-prefix arms is not, so far, identified.
