richard w.
I've made a couple passes through Laidler's book and some Skennerton stuff, and I can't find a reference to these marks. It's from a Sten MkII (not mine). Does anyone know who or what it means? Thanks. http://www.fototime.com/648043C47ACE917/orig.jpg
dalbert
richard w., My guess is that it is one of the early, Israeli manufactured Stens. It has definitely seen Israeli service, based on the Star of David that is stamped on the upper right hand corner of the magazine well. I wish I could tell you what "TMT III" stands for, but I don't know. Maybe someone else will be able to add more to this conversation. richard w.
Hi David- Thanks for your reply. Yes, I can see now that it is a Star of David. The photo is from a parts kit that is up for auction. Rough shape, but the Israeli connection is interesting.
