bm59collector
Anyone see the National Ord BM59 on GB - well, it happens to be of them with the re-welded receivers. Look above the receiver heel and above the markings, you can see the slight pits that remain when a receiver is re-welded back together. Can also see a slight discoloration from the weld heat - just a 'heads up' for some of the new collectors on the many re-welds that are out there - have to be careful
mikebaker1129
Yes, I noticed it ,but to me the weld looks like it runs right through the middle of the bolt stop area . I can't believe it has bids allready .
bm59collector
Mike - yes it does run right across - I probably should have said just look at the base of the sight - the pitting runs right across on the receiver. I don't know if the seller knows that the majority of the Nat'l Ord receivers were re-welds. Probably just old timers who've been around awhile.
