Sculptor
Hi, I am new to the Forum. I was a sculptor for Cotswold Collectibles and made many of the prototypes for their weapons in 1/6 scale for the 12" "GI JOE" figures. All of my prototypes were made from many pieces of individually fabricated brass pieces brazed and silver soldered together. The stocks were made of sculpted resin. The pieces were sent to China and injection molds were directly carved using a pantograph from the prototypes. The original prototypes were often destroyed in the process. Today the pieces are created from computer scans of the actual guns or blueprints. I know the forum usually deals with real guns but I thought you would get a kick seeing how the toy's of your favorite gun's were made.
