winbar
How do you remove the follwer from the BM59 maagzine? There is a indentation on the lower right side of the magazine body that prevents the removal of the follower. I played with a couple magazines this morning. After removing the floorplate, let the follower drop down next to the indent. I came in from the top with a 1/4" wide blade screwdriver with a 9" shaft. Put the blade in next to the follower/indent, then push down and twist. Pops right out. If you are accident prone or have old skin you might want to wear gloves. The Wizard
Winbar, I thought about that method but rejected it for the reason I felt "prying" on the magazine might damage it. The method I came up with is this: 1) Remove floorplate, 2) Pull the magazine spring and with it the follower to the bottom of the magazine, 3) Unhook the spring from the follower by pulling the spring from under the tabs on the follower. This allows the follower to slide freely to the top of the magazine. 4) Push on the front of the follower rotating it to the back of the magazine body. This will allow the follower to slide out of the magazine body. To reassemble reverse the process.
