The TCA Show and Shoot details are finalized and can be found on the TCA web page at http://www.thetca.net/Pages/ClubPlans2.aspx

We have a great weekend planned. Tusco is a super range and we'll have the use of three ranges on Sunday for out events and open shooting.

Attached are some pictures of the range.

The club's snack bar will be open both days to serve lunch.

Hope to see you there.

Bill

Just bringing this back to the top...

Who is planning on attending?

I've coordinated with Lt Mike Kline and Sherriff Bailey and the SVDM guns with a six table display will be at the show.

All the details are on the TCA web page at : http://www.thetca.net/Pages/ClubPlans2.aspx

Carol and I hope to see you there.

Bill,

If you should have a table available, after those with more seniority than I, get their table, then hold one for me.

I'd like to display US submachine guns from the banana wars (1930), thru WW2, Korea, and Viet Nam.

I think one table should be large enough.

Thanks,

Jim C

All 2013 TCA show attendees

Unfortunately I had very limited time this weekend.

Even though there was only a short window I made an investment in a 10+ hour round trip yesterday.

I was not disappointed in all the great displays and the lecture, excellent job to all. Of course it was great to see everyone as well.

Enjoy your shoot today.

COLT CHOPPER sent me a bunch of photos from the TCA Show that I will try to post tonight. Some are the same as what Sig posted, so I'll pick out the ones that are different. Since I'm not able to be there, I sent my Maguire Toy Thompson up with TD...All 6 known surviving examples are on a table there that Bill Menosky put together. Looks like he made stands for them, also, from the picture that was forwarded to me. Cool stuff...

All,

I hope everyone enjoys the high quality pictures that have been posted above and other pictures that will follow. But please keep in mind you wouldn't be viewing any of these pictures without the efforts of one man.

His name is Bill Troy.

Bill had help from many Thompson Collectors Association members and Tusco Rifle Club members , but it was Bill who put it all together.

Bill approached a club that he didn't know exited a year ago and negotiated a weekend for a show and shoot. He coordinated food for the weekend , table setups for the show, target setups for the shoot and supervised the shooting on 3 ranges, kept track of scores and took the time to win a trophy for himself.

If a list should be compiled of the top 10 T.C.A. presidents I have no idea who would be on the list. I'm a new member and lack that knowledge. All I can tell you for sure who would be number one.

It would be Bill Troy.

Well said Jim C 351, well said. I am sure all that attended this great Thompson event will be in agreement. A special hats off to the members of the Tusco Rifle Club for making this show possible. And to TCA and Tusco Rifle Club member Jim C for donating all the shooting awards, to which he took one home himself! Great shooting Jim - and all participants! I have a feeling this event will be even larger next year!

Mike,

Sorry to hear about your daughter, losing one of your kids is a hard thing to deal with.

I've only had to deal with a parent...that was enough for me.

Take care,

Darryl
