Andy Cote
I bought this box many years ago with several drums inside. It is completely unmarked but has remnants of a couple old labels. This perfectly holds four drums on one side and another drum or six 20 round mags on the partition side. Could have been a lunch box but certainly fits these mags perfect, is obviously of the correct vintage and for some number of years did serve as a box for Thompson mags. Made of something like Luan plywood with metal corners, snap latch, riveted edges, leather carry handle. Has a main compartment that has a padded bottom and is 7”x7”x7-1/2” high and a riveted partition that is 2-1/4”x7”x” 8” high. Overall is 7-1/2”x9-1/2”x 8-1/2” high. Some glue remains on front from a small label and some inside the lid from a larger label or padding. Opinions? Was this made for Thompson drums? http://tinypic.com/r/1hcpdw/5 http://tinypic.com/r/fa5xsk/5 http://tinypic.com/r/if31wx/
dalbert
I don't think this box is directly associated with the TSMG, although it looks like it is a convenient storage box for the drums. David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com
