Went up near Manitowish Waters this past weekend to camp out in the woods, and say goodbye to a good friend who passed recently. Among the weekend's activities was a visit to Little Bohemia. Really a beautiful place, but to be honest... not overly friendly. It seems they were far too busy doing other things (who knows what?? food was not being served) to pay attention to their customers. It took forever just to get a drink at the bar. Being featured in a movie years ago is still fresh in their minds I guess. We managed to wander around the place and check out the various bullet holes in the windows and walls, and a few things that were left behind after the shootout, but we really just wanted dinner. A beautiful building and property that seems to have no interest in serving customers anymore. Sad, really. We (10+ of us) left and spent our dollars elsewhere. They weren't the least bit interested in showing us the upstairs, either.

So, if you're going.... expect to pay a whole lot for the name. Its worth checking out, but don't expect to feel welcome. I recommend camping, or grabbing a cheap hotel room, and catching your dinner on one of the many beautiful lakes up there.

Sorry to hear that, used to be a fun, friendly place to have beers and dinner sometimes ( roast duck was great) . We'd even canoe over there sometimes for happy hour.

This was back when Emil had it, the dusty old museum still there.

In the Dillinger Days, the bar wasn't even there, built in 1936. The entrance was the end of the building. Where all the bullet holes are, was the bar in the old days, where the gang hung out-

Fun history, probably fading away like a lot of it.

Here's what Dillinger left behind- # 6315 & # 6141, BTW

#6315 is with the Smithsonian ; #6141 is with the FBI, a Baby Face Nelson gun, we believe from H S Lebman's cache via El Paso, Texas
